My pond water cleared up so perfect with these new lights I could see the bottom of my pond sgain

Had 9 watt for years. Went to this 18W and of course faster kill. Don't let this much doa algae back in pond. Must filter out. Would drop dissolved oxygen if put to pond.

Just a warning for anyone that thinks about purchasing this piece of junk. It will leak. Guaranteed. They include an o-ring to seal the sight glass. When you tighten it up, the o-ring twists out. There is nothing to hold it in place. I even tried silicone lube. If you happen to have already bought one go to the hardware store and get a thick rubber washer as big as the sight glass and use it instead. Apply some lube to keep it from twisting and to the o-rings on the outlets.. If I didn't need it right now I would have sent it back.

My ponds about 500 gallons and can see the bottom after 3 or 4 days.

This uv sterilizer is fantastic it works so well but be prepared it is huge. Was hard to disguise it. I highly recommend this product for any application

although the enclosed connectors are the same diameter as the pond hose I purchased and created quite a difficult hook-up. I used a bench sander and sanded down the barbs so they would fit in the hose. once this was done I was able to connect to the filter. within 3 days the pond was crystal clear. I would have purchased a lot sooner if I had known what a difference this UV filter makes in pond clarity!

Unit works great had to buy a bulb at local place did not include one.

I have kept a koi pond for years and depended on a healthy bio filtration system to battle alge. I recently expanded our pond from 500 gallons to 3000. The alge blooms were killing me! I was looking at having to expand my bio-filter to a size that I wasn't thrilled about....figured I'd try a UV light and see if that would help. Recived it late in the afternoon on a Saturday, hooked it up immediately to one of my waterfalls and went inside...the next morning the water had gone from a pea soup consistency to crystal clear in a matter of 4 days! Just make sure to keep your mechanical filtration clean and your good. Wonderful product.

I installed this unit 6 weeks ago, it quite working 3 days ago. I took it apart and there was water in the electrical end. I dried it on a heat vent for 2 days but it doesn't work.
