I'm very pleased with the quality and price. I wondered when ordering whether the base would be screwed into the shaft and thus be prone to separation, but I was pleasantly surprised to find six forged and well painted units. We are using them to hang blackout curtains from a ceiling. Main tip I would offer is that while the forged design makes them stronger and more reliable, it also means you may need a long screwdriver to mount them to the wall or ceiling as the bracket's outer loop can be in the path of a wide (in my case cordless) screwdriver, so have a long one or an extension at the ready for a quick and easy install. The screws that come with the brackets come as wall anchor pieces and are not very deep. Since I am hanging heavy curtains, I opted to use longer screws that could penetrate studs. You may want to consider buying other screws for your installation if you think you'll have a similar issue.
