Dorman M390370 Brake Master Cylinder Compatible with Select Ford / Mercury Models

So the first time I ordered this product I had to send It back due to a manufacturer’s error where they sent a piece with 2 different sizes so It did not fit correctly. That’s okay the return and reorder process was easy. I then get a new part that as you can see is still in the bag. It looks as if It had been previously used. This was so disappointing to see.

This does not fit cars with ABS. One of the fittings are a different size and there are no adapters available to make it work. That is my bad for ordering the wrong part. However, the price is right and it looks like a decent master cylinder

If your brake pedal is sinking all the way to the floor, this might be your problem and your solution. This part is in use for about 6000 miles so far and its still doing its job with no problem. (2001 Taurus ses.) I know they say to bench bleed it but I installed it on the car, filled it up with brake fluid and had my wife press the brake pedal while I bleed the air out. After, we bleed all four brakes. A lot of brake fluid was used but we got the job done and the car stop as it should.**update** 6/6/18: fluid is starting to leak past the rubber seal on the break fluid resivior. Looks like I'll be replacing it soon.
