Strong & Punchy
I own and operate a small entertainment and live sound company full time. I function as Audio Engineer at some events, DJ at others, and Host/MC.. I'm on both sides of the mic a lot of times, so I have a great chance to hear these speakers in real-time application. Most of the events I provide sound for need 2-6 speakers; weddings, fundraising dinners, auctions, school dances, charity walks, etc.. Lots of program music and microphone work. The spaces I'm in range from small room to large auditorium, and guest counts from 25-600. I purchased a 6-speaker RCF HD12 system last December (10 months ago) and have used it exclusively as my main system since then.First of all, these speakers look better than almost anything on the market. They're clean, no silly or fancy cutouts/holes, and they blend in with various environments unbelievably well. I turned mine into a 'secret weapon' by debadging them with gaff tape for an even cleaner, more unassuming look. The handles are big and solid, as would be expected of such an awesome cab. The weight isn't too bad, especially considering the quality. I bought RCF bags for each one.. Definitely worth the money. The HD12's are incredibly musical at low volumes, but the high volumes are where they really shine. I wonder about the caps in the circuitry: they must be industrial-grade because they never drop out, even under stressful SPLs. Rarely do I need to add a sub, as these speakers are strong and punchy, exactly what I need for my events.I bought these based off my experience hearing RCF cabs, cab specs, visual appeal, and ridiculously simple but highly effective signal path from input section to cab dispersion.. The HD12-A is a winner, hands down. The only thing I wish for is a delay circuit, but that would change the signal path.. Can't have it all!

Awesome Speakers
These are really awesome speakers! Surprisingly, this Italian company isn’t huge in the US yet, but from what I’ve heard their products are phenomenal. I’ve compared these side-by-side with QSC K12.2s and these are better sounding speakers - hands down (not to mention that they are less expensive than the K12.2’s as well). The QSCs sounded a touch clearer in the highs but also had a slightly “tinnier” sound than these 12A MK4’s and the MK4’s sounded much, much fuller than the QSC’s.When I was shopping for speakers I was initially sold on the QSC’s after hearing them and comparing them to other available products, then I started reading online posts about these RCFs and got curious. I couldn’t find any retailers that had demo models to listen to, so I ordered a pair through my local big music store chain. I explained to the sales associate that when my speakers arrived in the store I was going to immediately open them and do a side-by-side comparison with the QSC K12.2s and if I was blown away by the RCFs I would keep them, otherwise I would send them back and purchase the QSCs. Needless to say I kept the RCFs.These don’t have as many bells and whistles as the K.2 line from QSC, but you really get you moneys worth with this due to the excellent sound quality.
