if you're nervous about the chain, just remove it and thread the keychain directly into the split ring. then it could survive nuclear apocalypse (:my keys get thrown around and tossed in a backpack often, and they are constantly exposed to the elements because I work outdoors. nothing's come loose, dented, faded, etc. in the month I've owned this. I expect the red "Nuka Cola" part will get scratched up over time, because it is sealed with clear varnish of some kind, but that's part of the aesthetic for me! I've kept the chain on it, and nothing has loosened up there, either.in person, the metal is more warm-toned; less gunmetal-gray and more like a dirty dark bronze than my computer monitor showed in the product image. the packaging and very small "(C) BSW" embossed into the back of the keychain does make this look like it's actually licensed, but even if it's a bootleg, you'd never know it.

This was bigger and cute-r than I'd pictured. My husband loved it and uses the bottle opener part of it! It's licensed merch & well made.
