Works Better than a Product Twice its Price
First of all, not having to deal with a cord while using a sprayer is amazing. I have been using this sprayer withe an oil-based stain to seal and stain a new cedar fence. As a side note if you have to stain a fence use an oil-based product in a sprayer. The water-based satin does not go on evenly and this is at no fault of the sprayer but more the viscosity of the stain and you will need to thin it out in order for it to go on more evenly. Even then, I do not recommend using anything other than an oil-base stain with this or any sprayer. Getting back to specifics of this product, the price point as well as the quality its produces and the fact it uses a Dewalt 20v battery is awesome, especially if you already have other Dewalt products. There is a slight delay before the stain makes its way out of the sprayer from the time the trigger is initially engaged but other than that, it allows for a smooth, even finish. I have yet to see how long a single fully charged battery will last with this sprayer but as long as you keep an additional battery on hand there should be no issues with completing a day's worth of use. I love this sprayer and it is one of the best products I have purchased recently.

Not really something to use for finish work, but a great tool.
This unit works perfectly as an application tool, using a brush for the finish work.Unit tends to piddle a stream as you transition the trigger from on to off.It can be controlled as you get used to the tool, but still not good if trying to get a nice sprayed finish on something like kitchen cabinets. For me, it was used as an application tool to apply finish to a deck, then back-brushed it as I applied it. Worked extremely well in that method of use. Adjustments work very well.Ergonomics are very nice. Heavy, but well balanced. Controls are all very functional.Super easy-to-clean. For me, it's now an absolutely indispensable tool. Works VERY well. Great on battery life, when I used it on my deck. Good instructions. A viable product made to do the job. Not a piece of junk by any means. Very good quality tool.

Great Little Sprayer if you know how to use it
I have a background in paint products going back 23 years to my college days when I worked in a couple paint stores/ depts. Since then I have worked on and off as a professional painter and currently work in Facilities Maintenance which basically just means I am the staff handyman. I have used a lot of different sprayers and this looks, feels and works like a Wagner paint and stain sprayer that you would buy at Lowes or Home Depot or other home improvement store. There is a learning curve with any of these machines but what I liked about this product was that it comes with different 4 tips of different sizes, a viscosity cup to dial in the thickness of your paint and some cleaning brushesSome of the reviews said there were no instructions but mine came with a instruction booklet that was clear and simple to understand.I needed a small sprayer that was cordless so that I could do little projects around our facility. There are other brand name sprayers that work off a DeWalt battery but they are too expensive for the small amount I will be using it.I hooked this bad boy up out of the box and mixed up some paint and went to work and this thing did the job. I painted around 100 ft of exposed conduit in different sections of one of our buildings in just a matter of minutes. Then I cleaned it up and packed it away for the weekend. Came back and painted two large sign frames in a few minutes as well. The second time I didn't think the paint as much and got a much better finish and spray pattern. The only criticism I have of the sprayer is that every time you pull the trigger there is a delay between when the trigger starts the motor and when the paint starts to spray out. It made it difficult to do any small sections or spots that I missed and had to go back over.

Only worked 3 times
Perhaps this is intended to be a disposable item, but when I got it out to run for paint number four, it will not turn on. When it worked, it was not bad for the price and actually painted fairly well even with un-thinned paint. There was always some weirdness with the trigger, but if you pull it a couple times it would work. Now it’s totally dead less than a year. If you want something that you need for just one or two jobs this is for you.

It works, but not great.
It does ok on small jobs. The instructions are pretty much non-existent. If I planned on doing any bigger jobs or doing more frequent work I would go for a better model.

Know YOUR needs / and IT'S limits
This is an affordable sprayer that suited my intended use. And I am rating/reviewing this with that in mind. Do not expect the performance of a tool that cost 10-20 times as much.First, I love this for what I bought it for-painting/staining 600 feet of wooden privacy fence, and a 1500 sq ft deck. Worked great. The biggest downside is battery life- which is true for almost any battery powered tool. If you have a number of dewalt batteries this isn't an issue. I solved this problem by buying a Black & Decker to DeWalt battery adapter because I happened to have a ton of B&D 20w batteries. This sprayer did the job, and did it well. It made a task I was dreading and made it somewhat fun. I was enjoying the fact that it cleared up an entire weekend I had set aside for the job.

Works great
This paint gun works amazingly well... It exceeded my expectations. Hooks right up to DeWalt batteries and runs quite a long time on one battery. I used it to prime and paint my little vintage camper. It made a very big job quick and easy. We did have an issue with the paint getting back into the top of the gun because we mixed the paint with thinner in the gun. Don't do this, mix the paint and thinner in the container separately before screwing it together. Prevents backflow to the actual gun.Clean up is kind of a pain. But we ran mineral spirits through the gun after painting to make it easier to clean.. that helped.
