GOOD BITING, BAD BITING

Great for kids who bite
I really like the book. I really wish that the entire thing had rind as some of it does but not all. But as a parent with a child that is a biter I downloaded this book and hopes that it would help teach him not to bite his siblings are other children. My son is two and is nonverbal, but he under Much of what I tell him. We have been reading this book each night before bedtime and my hope is that overtime he will understand that biting is for food and not people. The bookkeepers somewhat of his attention, but sometimes before we get to the biting people part he loses interest. I definitely think it was a fantastic idea to write a book on biting for younger kids and it's the first one like it I have seen thus far. As a parent with lots of children, this is my first biter and I am clueless as to how to get him to stop and the only vice anybody ever gives is the bite him back. The book is definitely illustrated nicely and easy to understand wording. I would preferred to be a little shorter and get to the biting people part a little faster but maybe in time his attention span will be a little longer and we will get through the book all the time. Overall I think the idea is great and it's the first one I've seen. I Will be using this in my preschool class as well.

THE RIGHT CHOICE
This book is fairly typical of the Huss series. It is written in rhyme to present a lesson. The first half of the book focuses on good biting, specifically the kinds of foods that are delicious to bite. These include fruits like apples and peaches, desserts and vegetables, and healthy snacks like nuts. In the second half of the book, the author moves on to bad choices for biting like other people, ice cubes, and fingernails. The rhymes are a bit off in a few sections, but the message is spot on for young children who habitually bite the wrong things. In my opinion, the book is most valuable for parents and teachers who wish to discuss inappropriate biting with young children.

It is a good book. I thought it was a hard back, but it is a paperback and the bad biting is toward the back. It has helped my 2 yr old grandson understand the difference between the biting, and it has helped to curb the biting so far....

Not helpful at all
It's only about biting into food; not sure there is anything about not biting other kids, because my 3 year old gets bored after so many pages of the same and throws the book away... I didn't find it helpful. Go for 'Benjamin Monkey No Biting!' instead.
