My Dress-Up Darling 7

Anti-melodramatic, Unconventional
The author had the opportunity to really lean in and dial up the drama with this volume, but chooses a direction I can only describe as shockingly understated. Some readers will be disappointed by this, for sure. Instead, we get to see a lot of Gojo developing and demonstrating self-confidence in small but significant ways, ultimately feeling valued by his classmates like Vol 1 Gojo never would have imagined.

Awesome book but arrived damaged
Arrived with a cut across the front but the plastic wrap around the book wasn’t damaged so happened in production. Awesome series though

Losing the fun in the school festival.
Volume 6 ended with an emotional suspense cliffhanger: what will Marin say when Gojo denies they are dating? Well, er, not much. Cliffhanger wasted. This volume is a bit of a waste overall. It's taken up by a little bit of Marin's modeling work and then by the set up for the school festival which involves quite a lot of cross-dressing. Well Marin will look good in anything, even a three piece suit. And then it ends. Ho-hum. This is the volume that a second series of the anime (yes please) would skip. Don't buy this volume, borrow it from someone else. You won't miss much after all.
