Brilliant!
My 10 year old daughter has recently been diagnosed with Tourette's and I was wary of her reading anything too negative about the condition as she has only just been diagnosed. This book was perfect. Honest. Relatable for a child. She loved that the young writer has Tourette's and writes about her own experiences. My daughter also loved the design of the book and how the art work had been created to look like the writer is ticcing as she writes it. Really relatable. Open, honest, but not scary read. Thank you to the young girl who wrote this.

An educative and cute read!!!
“Sometimes, some people need help remembering how to be kind”This book is about 11 year old Lucy who has Tourette syndrome. She tells you about how her life has changed, how to be kinder and how to support her. This was an absolutely adorable read. I love that she has some really supportive people in her life and how amazing she is. I think this book is a perfect reminder to everyone to be kind and to educate people and yourself.I love at the end of the book it has 5 ways that her friends and teachers can support her. This is useful for teachers and people who work with children and young people to read so they can use the tips themselves and open up conversations to their children and young people about how to support them. The book cover and the illustration of everything reminds me of Jacqueline Wilson books and Olivia Rodrigo album. It’s so cute and colourful.Well done Lucy!! You are so amazing and this is such a huge achievement for you, congratulations.I rate this 5/5

Insightful book about how Tourette's effects young people
This book is amazing. We are friends of the family, whose 11year old daughter wrote this book. Our copy was delivered today whilst I was out picking my daughter up from school and we were excited to get home to read it.We sat straight down and read the whole book from cover to cover. My 7 year old said "wow Lucy, I can't believe you have written a book and you wrote it all yourself. Good Job Lucy"Lucy's words had me filling up at times, her and her family are so strong. This book really highlights some of the difficulties they have experienced through Lucy experiencing Tourette's syndrome and the ignorance of people around them.I really think this book is going to make a big difference to lots of young people experiencing Tourette's and help them to feel less alone and it will also enlighten so many people on a topic that is very rarely discussed. This book is a must have for everyone to help with inclusion and to help everyone be a more understanding human being.

Super book!
A brilliant account of living and coping with Tourettes, written by an eleven year old. Vibrant, energetic and totally gets across the complex feelings and emotions the sudden onset of this condition can bring. This book should be in every classroom and used to enlighten teachers, friends and family members on the condition and what it feels like to live with tics. My son has TS, I wish this book had been around when he had a sudden onset age 15. Very well done Lucy-Marie Phillips, you are an inspiration. Thank you xx
