Works great with proxmox
Bought this to pass through to a TrueNAS instance on my proxmox server and it works perfectly well. It easily reaching max SATA speeds for the enterprise drives I had attached.

Not new refurbished
They have old firmware. Easy to update but they are being sold as new they are not. Screw marks on the bracket and wear on the PCB pins. But they work.

Runs HOT
It works, though it does make my boot time go into the 5 to 10 minute range. It also runs at over 100C if I dont put a fan on it. Maybe im doing something wrong, but it is working fine otherwise.

Great for truenas
Got this for my truenas rebuild/upgrade, removed my old 9211-8i SAS2 card and replaced it with this card with the correct breakout cables and it was detected straight away and all drives showed up, checked the firmware and it was on the correct IT version ( pass through HBA mode, mandatory for truenas ). Added more dives 12 SATA and 4 SAS 12gbs SSD's and every drive showed up correctly, speed is awesome, completely pegs my 2.5gbs network during file transfers. One word of caution, this card runs hot, it is not single chip controller but rather two 8 port lsi 3008 chips on one board, so it does use more power ( the reason the 6 pin pcie power connector is on it ) and if you pcie slot doesn't supply enough power you must connect the 6 pin pcie power. So good airflow is a must, if that is going to be a issue then look for the newer 9305-16i card, it uses a new processor to a single chip design, lower profile card and less heat. For my needs and since I my full sized super tower I have excellent airflow this was fine. These are OEM cards so manufacturers support may be limited.Update 5-24It has been rock solid, added a 92mm fan to the heatsink and cut the controller temps in half. My trunas server has been running for 5 straight months with 0 disk errors.
