The good: you get nice features, like high-pass filter, pairing in1 and in2 as stereo, fx, bluetooth connection, usb interface for pc (Stereo in, Stereo out), phantom, and a little VU meter.The bad: The sound quality is poor. When you use just a microphone, it is kind of ok, but don't go wild with the gain coz you will introduce a lot of noise. To give you a reference: all faders down. Connect my Bose QC35 by cable to the phones output, and bring the phones master to zero (the little triangle at 9pm): There is a little bit of noise, totally acceptable, and normal to any equipment. Rise level of Mic input 1 to the triangle (with gain to minimum): still a clean-ish silence. Bring mic gain to 12 o'clock: a big amount of noise gets to my ears, the typical "ssssss" (note that there is no microphone connected). Bring level down, connect shure sm48, bring level up: the noise is a tad worst (understandable). The sound level in the ears is good, but the noise is impossible to forgive. Connect the bluetooth or the USB to the laptop (with 5/6 level at the triangle, and the usb switch down): noise goes to hell, clearly a digital signal (square or triangular perhaps) gets in. Harsh and loud. Rise the level of FX-RTN: more digital sound gets in. At this point there is absolutely no silence.The ugly: The power adapter is a bit short, and both cords (to AC and to the device) are permanently attached to the brick. I still don't get the reason of the graphic EQ of two bands that HAS THE LOW BAND AT THE RIGHTSo, if you need a soft output signal, it is ok. If you wanna play around, and don't care much about the quality of the sound, then go for this, it is fun (for karaoke for example)... I needed a pre-amp/mixer for my home studio and this little machine is perfect. The included user manual is a translated, confusing joke. However and happily, the unit is easy to figure out with a little experimentation. Multiple effects, tone and volume controls. Amazingly, it's just over a hundred dollars. Worth every cent!
