Replaceable Battery
This light is solid, made of good quality and materials and plenty bright enough for about any type of riding. I gave it 5 stars because I can replace the battery on looooong rides if needed.

Poor Battery Performance / Dead after 15 minutes randomly
Normally I do not write reviews for products, however, I wanted to share my experience within 5 weeks of owning this.I have previously owned the Fenix BC30R and BC35R and have always highly recommended these lights for anyone who needed a robust light that could go through any season. I am a full time cyclist, going through the extreme heat and extreme cold (110F to -30F) and average 100 miles a week for commuting to work. Those lights have been there for me over the years and the BC35R mount on the light itself started to fall off this year after 4 years. The battery still functions and keeps a full charge just like if it was still new.I was excited to see Fenix bringing in newer lights that are more compact, similar light specs and more battery power than the previous lights I've owned. One of the selling points was the swappable, rechargeable battery. When I first tried it for my commute to work, the battery lasted me enough to have the light on for 10 hours on Medium settings. After I recharged it, the battery showed green, then it dropped to flashing red withing 15 minutes or so. Then eventually it started to shut off. I tried taking out the battery and putting it back in and recharging it after my shift. I would get a full charge and thinking I was set to go with no issue. It proceeded to do the same thing once again. So that is when I used the secondary battery that came with the bike light. I thought it was a faulty battery and was able to get great results for the following 3 weeks later. Then it just started doing what the first battery did after a full charge.Edit: Randomly the light will work normally, but will result with the battery issue. This is the biggest let down I've had from Fenix's products and loved their previous products. I cannot recommend this light to anyone.

Tested it myself
Update: Real world, the light can’t be trusted. Not sure why, but it doesn’t last long at all on night rides. With a fully charged battery, it lasted about 20 minutes before it started self dimming. I don’t recommend this light set. Original post: I made sure both batteries were charged. I tested first battery on full bright. It lasted as long as the chart in the instructions say. Note: If you look at the full bright mode, the brightness goes down the longer it is on. It starts out at full 1600 lumens, but doesn't stay there. However, that does not mean it is not bright enough. I then tested the second battery long enough to give me confidence that both batteries were the same. I had it on one gravel bike night ride. It did fine. I didn't struggle to see as I have in the past with my road bike light. The Fenix BC26R is heavy (metal housing and large battery), but it is built well. I expect it should last. It is simple to charge. Plug the cable that comes with it into a USB port and into the port in the light. Having a backup battery on long rides will be nice.

super bright!
This front light feels like having the power of the sun on your bike. I was using a cheaper alternative before and didn't quite realize how much I was missing out on. A lesser light can get you around in the dark as long as you are cautious, but this thing is so bright that you can effectively right like normal even in the darkest of night. It has lower light modes and strobing if you want to use it during the day, but my primary usage for the light is riding at night.

Unreliable/Dysfunctional, do not buy
Nice brightness, but despite full charge and swapping out batteries the light dies after 2-5 minutes. Unreliable light, has left me out in the dark twice, will be returning. Do not buy.Update: I discussed the issue with Fenix, they say the light needs to be charged with a very specific USB adapter, otherwise the light will only charge partially. I tried their recommended troubleshooting, but it did not work — the light still only lasts a few minutes. Awaiting a warranty retry now.Update #2: Ghosted by Fenix. They won't respond to my warranty requests or return any emails. If I could give negative stars I would. Do not buy from them.

Battery would only charge partially
I had the same issue as did a couple of other reviewers with the light only partially charging the battery. I did not take up the matter with Fenix, however; I got fed up and trashed the light.Fenix has to look into their onboard-charging designs. I have a lantern from Fenix where the 18650 would only partially charge via micro USB, but otherwise the light performs well when the battery is taken out and charged via a charger.

Excellent light for working long shifts doing delivery. Not happy with seller though
I am loving this light. I bought it with the extra battery and use it for my long work shifts. I am often out on my bicycle for upwards of 14 hours at a time and this combination has been perfect. Yesterday I was being pelted with torrential rain the entire time. The battery and other components are bone dry and everything held up well. I use this light primarily in a urban environment so I don't have any real train experience with it seems to be a versatile light.I wanted to add that while I love the light, I dislike the seller I got it from. Fenix is saying I have to go to them for support and they are saying I need to go to Fenix. Fenix is supposed to be responding with a solution but so far they've just told me that they aren't familiar with the distributor. Anything I buy further will be directly from their site. This is nonsense.
