The case is a great way to protect your Galaxy Tab 8 Ultra but, if you try and hold it with one hand for any time, its quite uncomfortable due to the weight of the tablet. The case edge isn't really contoured for the extra weight which means if you hold it in your left hand, it digs in to your finger. If you are only going to use it flat then its a good piece of kit, its protective and flexible and looks reasonably good.

Does exactly what i wanted it to do,superglued 2mm black steel plate to the rear,which enables me to use on a tablet stand and in the car to magnetic holders.I can use as a car phone,Satnav,watch movies and YouTube, send text messages in the car, then take off and use normally in the house or a hotel.This case fits my needs perfectly, and I'm very happy with it.

Doesn't stand ot support the tablet at all

Three and a half *I purchased this case whilst awaiting the delivery of my Samsung Keyboard Case as I wanted to ensure that my slab of tablet Ioveliness was not going to scratch (I also purchased a screen protector ).- I found that the sleeve (as opposed to case ) fits the tablet snugly...perhaps a little too snugly as it tends to cause the screen protector to lift in the bottom left corner.- the sleeve is made of very durable, semi- transparent smoky grey plastic which compliments the colour of the tablet.- all cut outs work, charging is easy. The power button and volume rocker are very responsive.- there is a space on the rear of the sleeve where the S pen can be attached and charged.- on the top right of the sleeve there is a holder for the S pen...most likely to keep it safe whilst travelling. Whilst it. definitely holds the S pen well I have a couple of issues with the holder...namely that it actually puts the S pen in a more dangerous spot if the tablet is dropped and care must be taken when " holstering" the S Pen as it is very easy to damage or snap the nib unless you are very deliberate and exact in your placement. This is a big deal as the S pen doesn't come with any spares and, more importantly, a broken nib is nigh on impossible to remove , meaning an expensive replacement could quickly be on the horizon !!- I am sceptical about the drop protection, particulary at the corners although I obviously don't want to put my hunk of Ioveliness in danger by testing it !- the sleeve does make the tablet much easier to grip and aids usability. A drawback is that it exhibits each and every fingerprint placed on it!So, there are good points and reservations. I am still using the sleeve and am better acquainted with any foibles. I have added to security /transportability by purchasing a Thule Laptop folio that helps, both in terms of damage mitigation and usability ( it can be used as a rest whilst sitting ).There is now much more choice on the sleeve/folio/case front than when I purchased this. I am now happy with my total setup but would likely be Iooking elsewhere if I were making this purchase now.
