Wise Walker - Stash That Poop Bag

UPDATE 9/7/2016:Another update after months of waiting to hear back from the owner. I've decided to ditch this Wise Walker poop bag after coming across what I think is a better alternative. This Earth Rated bag dispenser has a clip at the back of it that will hold the poop bag for you. I have two dogs, and the clip holds two full bags just fine. It does the main job, which is to keep my hands free from holding the used bags. Being able to store my phone in the Wise Walker was just an added bonus, but it really won't even fit phones bigger than an iphone5 anyway, so I can live without it.This Earth Rated dispenser alternative is fuss-free and also, it is only $4. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and it is lightweight and seems durable. The poop bag holder is convenient, and the pocket is a perfect size to put your phone in (iphone 5 fits perfect, horizontally). The pull string makes it easy to open the bag and close it, however, my one major problem with is that it does not stay closed. The weight of my phone (or my keys) is enough to open this bag. Good thing it is deep enough that the poopy bags don't fall out. A little disappointed considering it's a little pricey for $18.00, but I'll keep using it until something better comes along.

I bought two of these bags, one for each dog and leash. I love the idea—and it is a much better solution than my current one of tying the filled bags to the leash—but the design is lacking in a few key areas.1) There is no elastic band or bit of Velcro to keep closed the pocket holding the roll of bags. During my first use, I dumped out the roll, which unrolled down the street as I chased behind. I then stood there tethered to two rambunctious boxers eager to continue their walk, while I tried to rewind the roll.2) The elastic drawstring does not stay closed.3) With a single carabiner holding the bag to the leash, it swings wildly and, when full, distracts my dogs.I installed this onto my leather leashes by using a hole punch the same size as the carabiner, since the carabiner was too small to accommodate the width of the leash. This no doubt allows it to swing more than it would if installed through the loop of the handle, but I like having the bag a bit further down from my hand—especially because I am managing two exuberant boxers and the leads are easily tangled. My solution to the wild swinging was to purchase two more small carabiners and punch two new holes, which allows the bag to hang from the leash more like a flag, thus stabilizing it. With a drop of fabric glue and Velcro, I have created a closure for the pocket where the new bags are kept. I replaced the drawstring slide with a locking slide, such as you would find on the drawstring of a light jacket.Though I've solved what I view as design flaws,I've now spent another $4 per bag and when added to the original price of $18.99, my thoughts are this product is simply priced too high. Since I sew, I could have made my own bags for far less, but was enticed by the cute videos the inventors made. I wish them all the luck, but think they need to modify their design if they want to be able to charge this much for their bag. Had I not been able to easily modify them, I would have returned them.

I'd give this 4.5 if I could. It's definitely the best solution I've tried for the poop bag carrying problem. I love the pocket for a roll of bags. I love being able to clip this either to my leash handle or to my dog's harness. I love not having to use a free hand to carry a smelly bag. The only drawbacks are that the elastic closure isn't great at keeping the bag 100% closed, and the clip that comes with the bag is too small & poor quality. (I replaced it with an S-biner which works great.) I'm keeping this in mind as a gift for every new dog owner.

Thank you for inventing this great product! I use " flush puppies" bags to pick up my dog's waste because I prefer to flush his waste down my toilet. Before the Wise Walker, I had to bring the bag of poop inside, keep track of it so it didn't touch anything while I removed my dog's harness and then carry it into my bathroom to flush it. This was a stinky and unsightly process. And so much worse in the winter months with boots and a heavy coat to deal with as well. Now I just place the bag of poop into my Wise Walker and when I go back inside my house, I take the whole thing to my bathroom, remove the bag of poop, and flush away. If I need to I can set the Wise Walker down without worrying about having the bag of waste touching anything.

Like the idea but needs some improvement.1. clip broke the first week2. some elastic to hold the poop bags in the dispenser area would be great because the bags keep falling out.3. the loop that holds it closed broke.a little stronger parts and this would be a 5 star

I don't like the open pocket for the back up bags. It's too easy for the bag roll to fall out.

I have a 15 pounds westie and his poop isn't as big as other dogs. While the bag is awesome and it works as it should, I wish they would offer it in other sizes.

Well-made product and it works as advertised. Having the bag dispenser attached is a great convenience.
