Amazing on first use!
Usually I have never found a product to do exactly as advertised. Finally, for the first time ever--I have experienced the synergy of a product actually doing what the maker of the product claims. Really didn't even have to use much elbow grease. Just amazing. It completely removed that disgusting ring in the toilet bowl on the first go. Just wonderful. Didn't have to use CLR or some other caustic chemical. The only thing that would make it better is a longer handle--not too long though. Very happy with this purchase (hopefully one day it can sell for less than $10).

This product is nothing short of AMAZING!! I have purchased Lime Away
I have tried many products to try to get rid of the infamous "toilet ring" in my three bathrooms. This product is nothing short of AMAZING!! I have purchased Lime Away, The Works, etc. and scrubbed forever only to have little or no result in the end. When these pads arrived, I cut one in half (as suggested by another reviewer) and went to work on my cleaning "project" with hope but uncertainty.I must say that I was EXTREMELY surprised at how little effort I had to use to see the ring, that had been plaguing my toilets for years, totally DISAPPEAR!! At first, I used it with my latest purchase of toilet bowl cleaner boasting the easy removal of lime, hard water stains, etc. After I had such success with the first two toilets, I decided to see if the pad would work on it's own with no help. It DID!! I was shocked. I hadn't read in the description that no other cleaner was necessary but wanted to see if it was the new cleaner or the pad that was doing the trick. It most definitely was the pad!!I don't often write reviews, but I felt the need to rate this product to save other people with this issue a lot of time and money on products that do NOT work. This one not only works, IT IS INCREDIBLE!! Such an inexpensive solution to a nasty problem! BTW...I also used it on my sink drains, the granite counter tops near the water faucets and on my tub drain. I am now officially RING FREE everywhere!! Do not hesitate to purchase this product.

Worth a try
This was my second purchase of Shaw's Pads toilet ring remover. It does a better job of cleaning stubborn toilet rings than any other product I tried...and it seems like I tried them all--pumice stone, dry cleansers like Barkeepers Friend and Comet, vinegar, bleach, detergents, etc. Though Shaws still takes some elbow grease, so to speak, they are great! If they were less expensive I would give them as gifts to friends. Price seems high for as small as they are, but the fact that they work so well does make them worth every penny! And they work for many cleanings before tossing.

Wow.
I've been trying to clean that toilet ring for years. My house is on a well, and even with a water treatment system, mineral deposits had built up along the water line. Nothing worked -- no cleaner or amount of scrubbing -- until now. This little scouring pad is truly amazing. It took a little time (maybe 10 minutes with moderate pressure) but the ring is completely gone and there is no damage (that I can see or feel) to the surface. I think the price is a bit high since it's really nothing more than a fine mesh screen (could be fiberglass) attached to a thin sponge, but I was determined to get the ring out and was willing to pay extra for "amazing."

This absolutely does not work
This tool absolute did not remove toilet bowl rings. I tried 3 days in a row, scrubbing as instructed, and it did nothing. The surface of the pad is very small, the handle is entirely too short and the pad just is not abrasive. The only thing it did was leave black crumbs in the water. I decided to try it on a dried out streak of shampoo, to see if it would work on something less 'tough', and also got zero results. Complete waste.

FABULOUS!!!!!!
Update on 12/24/17:I'm still so happy to have found these! We live in an area with a BUNCH of iron, not the Iron Range but not far removed, and calcium. We have an in-house water softener, but the orange rusty mineral stains still build up over time, especially where water sits, as in the toilets. Which leads to unfortunate rings that make it look like we are filthy peeps who don't clean. Again, these pads scrub it ALL off effortlessly, even tho many, many, MANY other cleaners and elbow grease do nothing. So they don't last through lots of uses. They work so well I only need to use them once every few months. I'll happily pay less than $10 a year and repurchase these!Original Review:I never in a million years thought these tiny, insignificant bits of foam and what seems to be screen material would get iron stains, calcium deposits, and other stains off ANY ceramic surface I have. BUT, they do and EASILY!!! I do not know how they can work so well, and I do not really care. The point is, they do, better than any scrub brushes, wire scrubbers, those rock-like toilet scrubber things that promise to remove any stain, etc… I have ordered back-ups for the future, because these are AMAZING!!!!

Not stable
I loved the idea, and it was initially fine, but after a minute or so, the pad slipped out of the gripping ends. It is easy enough to push back in, but it doesn't stay, so you either stop every few seconds and reattach or you toss the handle and use the pad.
