Pfaltzgraff Vera 16 Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4, Cream

These plates are lovely! The whole set has been is dishwasher many times with no problem- no scratches or breaks. They have a subtle pattern all over so that can help mask scratches later on if they get any. They're very durable but not too heavy. Because pattern is neutral color, they go with any other serving bows or dessert bowls you may have. I wish this pattern had small dessert bowls. Pattern makes them nice for everyday or dress up table. I bought a few sets for Holidays. I only had one problem- dish broken when sent but it was replaced immediately.

I am massively excited about all of the new Pfaltzgraff dinnerware patterns, but this one is my absolute favorite! If you are a fan of bohemian style in both decorating, and in life, these are a must have. If you’re unfamiliar with bohemian style, let me tell you that it has absolutely nothing to do with loud colors, and everything to do with layer, pattern, and texture, and these dishes check all of those boxes. Not only are they heavy and beautiful, but the pattern is lovely and unique, almost tribal in nature. It is raised around the edges, and so beautiful that the pictures cannot begin to do it justice. The center of the plates have a wonderful swirled design. One of the things I really love about the new Pfaltzgraff patterns is that the edges of the plates are turned up ever so slightly. Visually you might not notice much difference, but if you’re trying to get those last niblets of corn on your fork this will prevent you from sending them over the edge. The cups in the set are equally lovely and comfortable to hold. I love that the newer patterns of Pfaltzgraff are designed, and in colors, that allow them to be interchangeable with one another to allow you to make an endless number of table settings. I cannot recommend this set highly enough. I have an obscene amount of dinnerware, but this quickly became my new favorite.EDIT: Most of my above review still stands, because I am a fan of the manufacturer, and I do love this pattern. However, I was very upset when, for the first time, I decided to warm my dinner in the microwave on one of the plates, and it cracked. They shared this information with me, and I thought I would include it here.Pfaltzgraff stoneware items are microwave and conventional oven safe; however, we ask that you take some precautions.• Avoid exposing the piece to extreme temperature changes (from the refrigerator to the microwave or a hot oven).• If the item is allowed to absorb water, please allow the piece to dry for 24 to 48 hours before using it in the microwave.• To minimize the risk of cracking, avoid cooking foods with a high grease or butter content, such as bacon and microwave popcorn.• To prevent thermal shock during conventional oven use, place room-temperature stoneware and contents into a cool oven and set the temperature at 225 degrees. After 10 minutes, increase the setting to the desired temperature.• Use a padded mitt when removing from microwave or oven.

I ordered two sets of Vera, Pfalzgraff dishes. Two of the smaller plates are pinkish in color and slightly larger. It’s a standout, unfortunately for me because I like them otherwise. I guess I’ll work with Pfaltzgraff and try to get replacement plates.

I was sad to see some of my dishes arrived broken and cracked. Although, once I saw them I knew I still needed to have them. I quickly requested replacements for the dishes that were broken. I'm really looking forward to getting them because I love the style and color of the dishes. It'll be my first set for my new apartment. I hope to use them a lot this year. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I really like these dishes. I like the pattern which sort of reminds me of some Aztec patterns I have seen. I love that they are large & deep. For example, the bowls are large & deep. I can cook 2 packs of oatmeal in the microwave & it doesn't bubble over. Likewise, the plates have a higher lip around the outside edge to keep liquids from spilling over. I really do like the dishes!What makes them great also makes them take up more room to store. They don't nest as tightly as our Corelle plates & bowls which means they take up more room. I doubt that they will be able to take the same abuse as Corelle plates & bowls, but this is typical of nicer dishes, but still seem very durable. Heck, we have chipped & broken Corelle dishes. They are listed as microwave safe & have used in the microwave with no issues. They do get rather hot, but so do all our other bowls, plates & mugs. They have done fine in the dishwasher so far.While I do wish they nested just a bit more tightly, I still give them 5 stars for pattern, quality & large size. We are a bit cramped for cabinet space for dishes, but many people are not as cramped. I decided to put away 4 older plates & 4 older bowls to open up room for these instead. They are really nice dishes!

Pfaltzgraff has been in business for a long time, and this set is nicely done.Off white background with geometric edging in Grey-eige, with grey swirls in center make the dishes versatile for any setting.All are a nice size, mugs easy to grip, bowls just right not too large or small.Only comment is the very bottom ring is unglazed pottery and feels a bit rough. I worry it would scratch a table surface.

This is a great set of plates, bowls, and mugs. The large plates are awesome and they are now the go-to in our house. The amount the edge raises is perfect. Food stays securely on the plate. They are nice and weighty. I've been using the mugs as my daily coffee mug and they feel great.The bowls are a little smaller than my other bowls, but that makes them great to have for the option. They are a standard sized bowl, my others are just oversized.The pattern and color could go with just about anything I think. I really the slight variations between each piece.I will say that the lettering / text on the bottom of one mug that says it is dishwasher and microwave safe has nearly washed off from going through the dishwasher. Not a concern for me but it might bother some people.
