Ore 18, da qualche parte nel mondo «mi che a sian a Massa» e dai che mi rovini tutto! Scusate, è mia moglie. Dov'ero rimasto? Ah, si. Ore 18, Massa, in pieno centro un giovane appena uscito da lavoro rientra a casa. I gatti fuori al freddo che aspettano di entrare. Miagolano per fargli fretta. Apre la porta, il gelo. I gatti sporgono il loro naso pochi centimetri dentro, giusto quel poco per rendersi conto che c'è un fottutissimo freddo. Il prato umido con la tempereratura esterna che sfiora i 5°C in confronto è un paradiso equatoriale. Da tanto che è freddo il frigo si stacca e apre da solo lo sportello. Il ragazzo accende il riscaldamento e intanto si va a scaldare fuori accendendo della legna in un bidone dell'olio, di quelli belli larghi e profondi come si vedono nei film sul Natale nei quartieri poveri di New York. Dopo due ore i gatti ancora non osano entrare. Preparano i documenti e si presentano alla porta del vicino sperando che almeno lui possa aver pietà di loro. Ma per la legge di conservazione della massa, usciti i gatti, si fa avanti un pinguino che decide di passare la notte nello studio. La notte è lunga e fredda, molto fredda. Il pinguino non passerà la notte. Così all'indomani il ragazzo decide di cercare una soluzione e dopo aver spulciato un sacco di siti con consigli di dubbia qualità, ne trova una talmente economica che non può non rischiare. Comprare questi fogli riflettenti. Arrivano in breve tempo. Nel frattempo i gatti hanno portato via anche ciotole e lettiere. Il ragazzo li monta a tutti e sei i termosifoni in circa quaranta minuti. Accende. Tempo un'ora e il frigo torna a chiudersi, la casa è calda. Miracolo. I gatti, tornati per prendere le crocchette, decidono di fare ritorno a casa. Con loro si presentano alla porta anche i vicini. La notte è lunga, ma questa volta piacevolmente calda.Morale: comprateli!PS. Ci scusiamo per l'utilizzo improrio della legge di conservazione della massa. Nessuna legge di conservazione della massa è comunque stata maltrattata nella realizzazione di questo racconto.

We live in an old stone barn conversion with no insulation and exposed stone walls. This has made a good bit of difference. It was easy to fit without removing any of the radiators. Without it if you put your hand on the walls behind the radiators they were warm meaning the heat was dissapearing through the wall. Now the walls behind the radiators are cold so all the heat is being reflected back into the rooms. We seem to be able to turn the heating down by a degree or so and not notice a drop in temperature. There is enough to do about five decent size radiators.A quick update. Installed this about a month ago. Keeping a weekly note of meter readings and we are definitely using less gas, even in spite of it being cold and frosty recently. In fact it works better in the really cold weeks as obviously the radiators are hotter therefore reflecting more heat back into the room. Would really recommend giving it a go. Especially if your radiators are on external badly insulated walls.

Arrived in time and easy to use. That's it. I am shocked to see it's reviews and it's effectiveness. As I needed foil for 5/6 radiators, I bought this one and, luckily, another brand. (both having very good reviews on amazon)I installed this one on two radiators last night and this evening few sticky dots were off. I checked temperature difference with thermometer and was really surprised. Radiator at 55 C and wall behind foil 38 C. Wall adjacent to radiator was at 22C. I thought perhaps these things are just waste of money and not very efficient. ( I had used similar type of bubble foil on garage door and that was very effective). So I had other foil with me ( not very thick like this) and used it and difference was shocking. Radiator at 60 C and wall behind foil 24C and adjacent wall at 22 C. So these things are effective but only good one. In my study we have 11 years old bubble foil and that gave good results.So bottom line, not effective at all.

Arrived ahead of time and well packaged. Im a senior citizen and was a little bothered about wether id be able to fit it correctly. I did all my 5 radiators in under 45 minutes, Very pleased with the product...and myself .
