Nice 5 " knife
This is a nice sharp knike & cuts melons, veggies & chicken breast nicely. I gave it a 4 star because it says it comes with a sheath but, it didn't & because it's not curved. I kept hitting my fingers on the cutting board.

Nice knife, color very bright.
Works well and nice size. Just wish there were better less in your face colors available like aqua, white or pink.

Not enough knuckle clearance
Unfortunately this knife doesn't have enough knuckle clearance (to the cutting board) for a santoku. This defeats the whole purpose of a santoku knife. The handle is constructed of a very cheap-looking, very basic what-I-assume to be polypropylene handle. The blade is X55CrMoV14 steel, which I can't find hardly any information about on the internet, which is not a good sign. The blade and package say "Germany". In my opinion, you would be much better off with the OXO Good Grips Professional line, which while probably made in China, have a blade with more height for better knuckle clearance, are constructed of better steel, have a much nicer handle, and are cheaper. I have about 2 years of use with the OXO Good Grips Professional 4" santoku, and the OXO has been amazing.

Like it Better than Cutco...
Love this knife brand. No need for more expensive. Holds edge better than my similar Cutco's.

VERY sharp!
was a gift for a friend - she LOVES it - but be careful handling it - it is really, really sharp, which is great in the kitchen. very good material and craftsmanship.

All around knife.
Just finished cutting a melon with this knife before writing this review. I find myself using this little messer all the time for so many things. It's a great all around knife and I find using it more then I thought I would. This model is made in Germany FYI. If you understand a little about knives you will appreciate it for what it's capable of.

Versatile knife
Small nimble blade that replaces most of my utility knives. Being 5 inches it's quite versatile sharp and has an ergo grip. Will update on durability of edge retention.
