Munchables Starlight Sensory Chew Necklaces for Girls (Fuchsia/Pink/Aqua)

We bought this because our 7 year old is constantly putting unsafe objects in her mouth and we've been trying to break to habit for years to no avail! She saw one of these on a video she watched and asked for one. Rather having her chew on something safe, I loved the idea and ordered it. I have great confidence in this product that it is safe for her to chew on and I feel much better now that we have made a habit of chewing on the necklace instead of other random, unsafe objects. And the fears of her choking have reduced dramatically. It also helps her to sit still for longer periods of time as it gives her something to fidget with and eases her oral fixation, which is very helpful while we are online schooling. Its also very easy to clean with soap and water.

My daughters did not really chew on this when she needed a diversion from sucking her fingers as recommended by professionals but we still tried to make her wear it. She did not chew on the other necklaces and toy versions anyway. The reason I still like it because even after that "chewing" phase, she still continues to play with this cute necklace all the time and on many occasions dresses herself up with it to wear out. Cute colors matches almost every outfit we have. Along with her hairbrushes, hair clips, hats, this is her main necklace accessory for now ( 2-3 years old).

I bought two of these necklaces. One to deter my 3-year-old from biting after she bruised her brother. Now, if she's too angry to use her words, she has something else to sink her teeth into.The second necklace is for my 6-year-old who sucks her fingers still (not thumb, but same oral fixation). She loved it at first, but I notice she still falls into her old habit until I remind her to use her necklace. With time, I'm hoping the necklace will be a stepping stone to losing the oral fixation for both.The necklaces are bright and adorable. The kids love them. They come on and off without needing to be unhooked, too, which is a plus for the kiddos. We've had them about 3 weeks now, and no teeth imprints have remained, so the material used is proving durable!

I bough this necklace for my 3yo daughter who is a fingernail biter, always has some toy in her mouth, and when her fingernails run out she turns to her toes.Pros-the style of the necklace is very pretty and attractive, my daughter loved it. She received compliments on the necklace from family and random people when we were out and about.-she wore it all the time and understood what it was for.-has a breakaway clip so if it gets caught on something it won’t choke her.Cons-my daughter was able to chew pieces off the star after only a couple of weeks of use, due to her being able to get pieces off (which became her goal when chewing it) we no longer use the necklace.-the beads did get caught in her hair at times, not a huge deal, but certainly can turn into a huge deal for a 3yo at the right time.I’ve read the description of some of the other chew necklaces by the same company and some are apparently more durable than others. I’m hesitant to purchase another one though only to have it chewed apart again.

This is my little one's favorite go to oral object as we are trying to break her habit of thumb sucking. We do alternate it between a few other Munchkin oral necklaces but not because we have had to. The star and the spheres are still in one piece and show no signs of breakage.

My two year old started a habit of chewing on her hands. In the interest of hygiene and spread of disease, I started looking for an alternative for her to chew on. I'm so glad I found this - she LOVES it, wears it every day (I wash it regulary), and chews on her hands much less now. She does on occasion still put her hands in her mouth, but once I ask her where her necklace she'll happily run and grab it to chew on instead. As a bonus, she looks super cute wearing this.

She takes it everywhere.She likes to have a part of it in her mouth most of the time as well.It's durable, washable & safer than many of the tings she picks up.Thanks!

My daughter doesn’t have any learning handicaps, but CANNOT keep things out of her mouth when she is anxious or deep in thought. After non-stop nagging, I decided to try a chew necklace. I have purchased a few, the pendants were always way too big so only the cord and closure were chewed. This necklace however is the perfect size. The round “beads” can be sucked on and the star is just the right size. Yes the tips have chunked off, but the rest seems intact and I have no fear of choking. I will only buy these.
