This is an easy way to make coffee. Nice quality glass carraff.

Worked great until we broke it.The glass is quite thin as can be expected due to it's shape. Until it broke we used it as a replacement carafe for our drip machine. The original plastic filter cone was falling apart and we didn't like the idea of using the plastic at that point. Glass was the ideal way to go and this was a great alternative.The insulating rubber band it came with did an ok job. When the carafe was maxed out with liquid and the coffee was up against the rubber it would get quite hot. When the coffee was below the rubber it did a better job and wasn't a problem.I'd say the carafe is best for 6 cups but will hold 8. Liquid wise it could handle the 8 cups but depending on how fresh your grounds are, the plume would sometimes overflow. This would make a small mess. This is probably only an issue when using this as a carafe replacement on a drip machine since it can't sense when the grounds are about to overflow. If you used a pour over kettle this probably won't be an issue.With what appears like a lot of cons I would still recommend this and buy it again. The fact that it's an all in one option with no plastic makes it worth it.

Our last borosilicate pour over coffee pot met an untimely end when something fell out of a cabinet and knocked it to the floor. This one has a flat bottom, so it’s much more stable, and the neck is wide enough to get my hand in to give it a good scrub (though a chain mail scrubber is also super useful for cleaning it). The collar is insulating and easy to grip. Very happy with this purchase!

For the price you can't beat this little guy.It does have a few issues. I also wasn't aware the metal mesh filter was plastic. I recommend using paper filters with the metal mesh screen. You could probably get away with no filter on a course grind, just know you're going to have a little silt in your brew. The glass also feels very thin.

Works great, however filter is hard to clean without getting coffee grounds down drain. I use a paper liter in the filter basket and it works well.

I needed to replace a brim coffee maker and it fit very well

This was a replacement for a broken carafe on my Brim auto drip coffee maker. The carafe works pretty well...a bit short so there is some splashing out of the water, but it holds the same number of ounces. I never use the permanent filter included, as it contains plastic. I purchased my own stainless permanent filter on Amazon some time ago, and it works great. I try to stay away from all things plastic, especially when you're pouring hot water through every morning. I would think more chemicals would leach into your coffee as a result of the hotter water.

This carafe sits well in the Brim pour over heat plate with a minimal gap. The height is good to avoid splash over messes during the pour over.It will not fit the Brim plastic paper filter holder through the neck, but it will fit the Brim metal permanent filter and comes with its own filter that matches the pour over flow rate.This is a great replacement for the Brim carafe.
