Johnstone's One Coat Matt Emulsion Paint - Magnolia 2.5L

I bought this in antique white. I found that it went on smoothly (using a roller) and covered really well in one coat - I had put a base coat on prior to painting. The antique shade of white was a great option and looks really good. I ordered two tins but needed only one to cover an entire room. I’m holding on to the second tin as I’m sure I will use it again.

I used this to overcoat a newly plastered wall that had been prepped with a mist coat first.Low odour, easy to use with hardly any splashing. One coat covered well but I used white over white so can’t comment on how well it performs over a darker colour.Very pleased with my purchase.

It's good, thick, paint. One coat might be asking a bit much unless you're painting over the same colour or a similar shade. White definitely struggled with a deep magnolia, but I'd say 1 coat plus a light top up gets it done. One on, though, it's a nice uniform white. Good quality finish.

I've been looking for an alternative to my usual paint since our local hardware shop closed and I'm very pleased. I didnt notice a smell, it dried quickly and had good coverage though on very dark colours two coats are needed.Not quite so pleased that the paint had been placed upside down in the box, luckily there were no leakes.This is the second time of ordering and I would again if it was the same price (£16).

As you can see I only had to use one coat on a creamy magnolia covered wall as it is top quality, thick paint. However, I did have to use 2 tubs even though it was for the smallest bedroom. It dried super fast too, which I was very happy about. It was also very easy to clean off the carpet with a bit of white spirit.

I covered horrible grey kitchen walls. Needed 2 coats because I painted it a pale cream after. Great coverage and good paint.

This paint did not cover in one coat, the first coat looked awful had to give the wall a second coat.This was my first time using this make and unfortunately it will be my last won’t purchase again
