No regrets
Takes only minutes to install. Now my boo can start her car and have it warm up for her in the cold winter months to come. 3 months now, not one issue. Save me hundreds of dollars from the dealership. Get it.

Look at the video, then look at the manual
It took me 30-45 mins to install, it should have taken 10-15. Comes with everything you need, works amazingly if u follow the steps on the video, and then follow the programing instructions on manual(which takes 30 seconds from start to finish). The only difficult thing you should have to deal with, has nothing to do with the product: it’s very tight and tough to get into the circuits in the rav4 if you have big hands, so a small helper would make your life so much easier

Good remote start
The start-x remote works great but getting access to the connectors with the Rav4 bracket in the way was challenging.Mounted the remote behind the plastic side panel that was first removed to access the connectors.Programming was a breeze and works prefectly.The First start -x installation kit was on my 2019 Toyota Tocoma and still working fine.

The starter works as advertised, that's the most important part. I would not say it was a super easy install. The video was maybe a 6/10, the written instructions basically non-exsistant. Without much more effort, the video and instructions could make the install much much easier (and also maybe labeling the harness components such as A,B, C, etc). Its a pretty tight space where you have to install it, maybe my hands are just too big. Id still recommend it, but its not quite as simple as plug and play...

This item was easy to install, took less than a hour and it works great. Able to start from a distance away so it's nice.

Easy to Install, works great
Added this to a 2022 Rav4 Trail. Install space was a little tight but with patience you can do it. The hardest part for me was putting the rav4 panel cover back into it's retaining clips. Starter works as expected on first try with no error codes. 30 minutes max install time. Good value for $200.

Cost effective and easy to install
My local Toyota dealer wanted almost $1000 to install a factory remote starter. I purchased this unit and has it installed in 15 minutes. The video is straightforward, the install location is easy to access although disconnecting and reconnecting the cables was a bit of a challenge. Programming the unit was straightforward as instructions are clear and included in the box. With this unit I can start my car using the factory remote.Definitely worth it if you want to add remote start to your Rav4 and want to spend a fraction of what the dealer charges!This unit and 15 minutes of my time: $250Dealer installed: $900

It works as described
Installed on my 2022 RAV4 Trail AWD following instruction paper and video on line. No tools needed, works well.I am relatively handy so no problem for me to install it. It may be difficult for someone who never do DIY works. Dealer asked for $1,000 plus so this is a great deal. Recommend.
