Instinct Original Grain Free Real Lamb Recipe Natural Wet Canned Cat Food by Nature's Variety, 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 12)

I've been feeding Instinct to my two cats for years, but after this order, will be purchasing Hound & Gatos instead. Hound & Gatos lamb is sourced from New Zealand.Instinct lamb is being sourced from CHINA, of all places. I don't mind clothing or household items made in China, but food?! Absolutely not an option in this household. Instinct has also changed the ingredients and I do not like what I am seeing. Heaven alone knows where the other varieties are being sourced from, but this ends my relationship with Instinct products.Getting so frustrated trying to find decent cat food, without companies altering ingredients and sourcing from Asian and Southeast Asian companies. Pet food should be sourced from the US or Canada.

Buyer beware of this product. I am a verified user of all instinct products for at least five years, canned, raw frozen and raw kibble as a treat. I recently opened acan of lamb for cats, and was overwhelmed by the odor of fish. I thought a mistake had been made at the packing plant - turns out they are now adding tuna oil to this product. While the product says lamb, it is really turkey and lamb. Now, it is tuna, turkey and lamb. My cat is allergic to tuna, and if not for the strongodor, I could have easily made my cat sick. The rabbit is mainly pork... I admit I should have done a lot moreresearch before choosing this brand, I will be very careful as I choose my next brand, which will not be instinct !

After years of struggling to get her on a decent food that wouldn’t get cancelled just when she got stable, we finally settled on the Rabbit formula, but had to augment it with baby food in order to get her the calories she needed. She was on this food right up until the day she died. It wasn’t bc of the food, tho. It was just her poor body giving out bc of all of her health complications piling on top of her. But she never left a bowl without licking it clean. So, given her reaction to it, I think she really liked it.

One of cats was overweight before we started on this food. We completely took both cats off of dry food but the overweight one was really the one addicted to it. We decided that since my husband and I eat clean, why shouldn't our cats. So we stopped the dry food and based on a recommendation from one of my husbands clients, we purchased Instinct Grain Free Cat Food. This stuff looks just like real food. The first ingredient is meat and the rest is fruits or vegetables. No fillers, no grains, gluten free. Not only do our cats devour this food in many flavors (lamb, duck, salmon, pork and chicken) but our overweight female cat has already lost a pound and a half! We make sure to keep a couple of flavors in the house so we can rotate them. No one likes to eat the same thing day in and day out so the variety keeps them coming back for more. Both cats are so full of energy, run around like they used to years ago and both cats coats are super soft and shiny now. We will be feeding our babies this food from now on.
