The first one I ordered arrived with a shattered table top. I was home met FedEx to see if I could help unload the package and as he slid the box to the end of the truck we could hear rattling in the box. I feel this is what happened to the fire pit as he was tossing boxes all over the truck and kicking boxes. At first I thought it was the lava rock that had fallen/spilled out of their box. Upon opening the box thousands of shards of glass were scattered all through the box. I contacted customer service and their response was very prompt and helpful. However, their responses seemed like they were coming from a teenager texting with several abbreviations and grammar/punctuation issues.They replaced the item and it arrived within a few days. After opening the box everything seemed intact and good to go. As I started assembling the fire pit I noticed the legs and metal portion of the table top were scratched and dented in places, the glass cover was chipped, and the part that attaches the top to the legs was bent on two corners. I’m not sure if that happened during transit or at the factory. Luckily though I was able to take parts from the original fire pit and use the best of both to make one functioning fire pit. It would be nice if they had some extra padding/protection/marking on the box.The glass wind shield arrived separately and was padded and secured perfectly.I did have to drill out some of the clamps for the wind shield as the screws that came with it wouldn’t go through/seat properly.All in all I really love the fire pit. It matches my existing porch furniture, has great light, good heat, and overall looks great.Just be aware of shipping and how they handle the package.
