MinnetonkaMen's Pile Lined Hardsole Slipper

My fiancé fell in love with Minnetonka house shoes when I was still working in a shoe store. Hes very picky about his shoes but he now has a pair of these for inside and another pair (we got from Zappos) for outside. They're a great value and a great gift. Runs true to size, if you're in between sizes you generally wanna size down. They should be a tight fight at first but they stretch as you wear them. Theyre very warm and comfortable. Be gentle with the laces on the shoes, you'll break them with too much force.

Ya know, you get what you pay for. I bought a similar looking brand for half the price. It didn't quite fit so I returned it for a different size. Again, its fit and comfort just wasn't there (NOTE: I've had this type slipper over the last 20 years). I spent the money on the Minnetonka and VOILA !!! Love the product, the fir, the comfort and I'm ready for winter.

Really Great. I got these for my mom who has very wide toes, she loves them and she is SUPER picky. They are comfortable and made well, good soles. The inside is soft too

My comments are based on 2 pair of these, (in size 11M) and I wear them for SEVERAL hours daily. A proper fit for me is narrow to medium, but I can wear wider MARKED footwear-and NON-premium shoe/slipper sizing these days is not precise by anyone's estimation. Weight about 170. Your results may vary. The lacing is effective as decoration, don't expect much adjustability from it-unless your wish is to to bring the rear of the slipper forward. The leather boot lacing used stretches over time and after you readjust it the first time expect it to loosen forever afterwards-unless you double knot.I really liked the fit of these out of the box-the pile lining made them fairly snug, but not overly tight.However, the synthetic pile lining compresses quickly and they get significantly looser after a few hours.That was fine, because I usually use 1 or 2 additional innersoles, and out of the box I couldn't do that.A 1/4" thick compressed wool felt innersole was fine for a month or 2, with the slippers still snug enough to not fall off easily. However they continued to become progressively looser.About this time the stitching at the tongue junction started coming loose on one side of one slipper, so I restitched that junction on both sides of both slippers. That helped snug the slippers up a bit.Another month or so the slippers were loose enough for me to insert DOUBLE thick foam innersoles on top of the wool ones. (Not memory foam or gel innersoles.) They were snug again for another month or 2.About this time I added a thin fiberglass arch support to each slipper.By a month or 2 later the slippers were extremely loose, allowing the rear half of my foot to slide side to side quite a bit, and the slippers to slip off in situations where they would not have previously.I restitched/overstitched about 2 inches of front lacing from the tongue forward on one slipper and that has taken some of the looseness out. (I made lacing holes slightly inboard of the original ones with an awl.) My next adjustment on any new pairs of these will be to make new holes for the decorative lacing further up the tongue from from the original holes.One last thing.The soles of these slippers have held up remarkably well-enough so, that (to me) making the several adjustments was warranted.

Def. Buy a half size bigger. Run small. I’m an 11. They were so small. Returned for a 11.5 and they fit fine they conform your fit after wearing and breaking them in.

Just got mine a few hours ago. Size 12W. These are just, if not more comfortable than LL Bean house shoes. They built up extra padding in the front pad of the foot. (I walk hard and have a calaus right where the extra padding is!!!) These need to be your next house shoes, made in USA!

My partner loved these slippers as they kept his feet toasty all winter long! The hard sole was nice because the cold from the floor wouldn’t creep through like it would with fabric soles. There’s no arch support as is typical of slippers, but they were a great fit. The rubber sole made them feel a bit heavier, but they were quiet wherever walking around on the hardwood floors. Would definitely recommend as they’re great quality!

I am very happy with my purchase of this slipper. The quality of this product is fantastic. I wear these every day and they can be worn anywhere they feel more like a very comfortable shoe. I wear a 10-1/2 shoe size but bought these slippers in a 10 because I don’t wear socks with them and the fit was spot on.I highly recommend.

This is a quality product for the price, having spent much more on an almost identical pair with a differing product code when visiting the USA a couple of years ago.The goods arrived far quicker than anticipated, well before the suggested deadline, but proved to be the incorrect size! In fact this pair are a size 16, which wasn't even a number suggested on the web-site as being available?When I considered the hassle of sending them back, cost of postage etc., etc., it proved easier to just tension the leather tightening strap as much as possible and allow for a slight floppiness. A touch disapointed when I know that the 15 would have been a perfect fit, and that I'd taken considerable trouble to establish that I was getting what I wanted from a product not readily available in the UK.The product is great value and the US company concerned were very efficient so I simply chalk this one down to an unlucky error on their part, which wouldn't prevent me from re-ordering in the foreseeable future.
