Exceeded Expectations
Purchased as an alternative to my hard SUP, primarily for easier transport to my destination and between parking and the water. I read a lot of reviews before buying which were overall positive, but also many contradictory, so I wasn't sure what to expect regarding inflating the board and stability. I have now inflated the board four times and used it twice on the water. The first time I inflated it at home to practice and test. No problems. The second time I took it to a lake, inflated it, but couldn't find the screw that holds the center fin. It was a bit windy and I'd read comments about the board being hard to control without the fin, so I opted to use another craft I'd brought along. I'm not sure when or how the screw came out of the fin. I emailed Pyle Customer Support directly and without issue they kindly sent me a replacement no charge. The screw in the new fin has a piece that prevents it from unscrewing all the way out. The original either didn't have this or it didn't work. I'll eventually get around to finding the correct size screw for a backup. The two times I've used the inflatable SUP have been excellent! It is so nice to be able to just put the bag in the car and go. Inflating is simple, taking me about 9 minutes with the hand pump. It's obviously significantly lighter than a hard board, and the handle makes it easy to carry to the water. I found the board to be surprisingly stable when standing, and easier on my back (than the hard board) when sitting. I do not have the optional seat back and I don't feel that I need it. Deflating is also simple, again taking me less than 10 minutes, including drying the board completely, rolling it up, putting it back in the bag and car.I love it. My pros are easy transport, time and effort saving, great experience on the water, great customer service, definitely worth the price. My only con is that it comes with a single-bladed paddle. I already had an adjustable double-bladed paddle, which is a must for me when sitting. I'm hopeful I'll get many more uses out of this inflatable board.Best practices for me: I use the dual-action setting on the manual pump to inflate the board until psi begins to register, which takes me 4-5 minutes, then I switch to single-action. 0-10 psi takes me 3-4 minutes, and 10-13 or 14 psi takes another minute. Use body weight, not arms. So far I've only inflated to 13-14 psi, which worked well for me. For deflation, I remove the plug and as it deflates I wipe to dry completely. Then I just roll remaining air out. Done. It comes with a strap to hold it together rolled, which I find helpful, but not necessary.

Great Overall Board for the Price
At this point, we've only used our boards once, but I wanted to write an initial review. An inflatable SUP is perfect for us since we need a way to easily transport the boards to and from the lake (our cars do not have roof racks). Comes in a fairly large box, but as you open it and take out the next box, open that and take out the board in the bag and gear, it's a more manageable size. The bag for the board (which has enough room to hold your paddle) is quite sturdy and comes with both backpack straps as well as a strap to hold like briefcase. Also included is the paddle which comes in 3 sections that you need to easily assemble. Additionally, there's the pump, ankle strap, repair kit, and middle fin (the 2 smaller side fins are permanently attached to the board). My only complaint is that the repair kit does not include the adhesive you'd need to actually make the repair. We took our boards and gear to our local lake and began the process of setting everything up. Initially inflating the board is relatively easy, but as the PSI increases, so does the effort it takes to continue pumping. We got our boards to 12 PSI after about 10 minutes which ended up being perfect for keeping us afloat. Then we attached our middle fins and ankle straps and entered the water. From the initial time we go on our boards, we could tell they were very sturdy, and we had no problems balancing throughout our time paddling. Once we were done, we carried our boards to the grass, dried them off with a towel, and released the air valve. From there, it was quite easy to deflate the SUP as we rolled it from nose to tail. Then we secured a strap around it, put it back in the bag, and put it and our gear back in the trunk. We had such a great time and can't wait to do this every weekend. Great workout, relaxing to just stand or sit on, and perfect for social distancing.PROS:- Portable: We fit 2 deflated boards and gear into my 2-seater trunk.- Affordable: Good price for the overall quality of the board and gear. Perfect for casual enthusiasts that don't plan on racing.- Fun: This really was fun, and being out on the water is relaxing.CONS:- Inflating the SUP: Although it's not horrible to inflate, we will be purchasing an electric pump to make setup easier/faster.- Weight: I don't have a problem with the weight, but I could some people finding it cumbersome.- Repair Adhesive: As I said in my review, it does not include this, and it really should.OVERALL: Wonderful purchase! Very happy with the quality and fun factor.

Great - Good Quality & Good Looking SUP
I love providing good feedback! However, in order to give high mark, the product really needs to meet, to my standards, high criteria. This product (SLSUPB518) does deserve that. I also want to mention that I was greatly helped by objective & detailed reviews from previous owners and I do appreciate their efforts for writing them!Considering board's category and CAD $500+ price mark, it's not inexpensive. There are also a few other parameters that I value and take into a consideration.1) Quality2) Look3) Warranty/Customer Service4) Value for the moneyThe board is fairly stable, well built, great looking & attractive. It runs smoothly and very agile & maneuverable.Over the past month, I spent 25-30 hrs paddling in Lake Ontario, Ottawa river & shallow Humber river in Toronto. The board handles waves very well. I could stand up and ride ('though not that easily) with waves up to 20-25 cm (8-10") high. Although it's easier to glide with no waves; the real beauty is riding on 5-8 cm (2-3") waves, where you get relatively smooth ride with some mild movements and sound of the splashing water. This could be a personal preference, but if your ride is for more than a 1/2 hour long, those small movements help your feet not to get numb.In terms of riding it in shallow waters, please pay attention to the water depth since the mid fin is relatively long and can hit a rock or you can get stuck in mud or sand. There is nothing wrong with it; just the nature of the physics. Actually, that fin along with other two, on the sides, are the ones that greatly contribute to the stability & maneuverability of the board. When inflating it, using included manual pump there are two options 'easier' & 'harder' which translates into when the pump pumps the air in. If air is pumped when you push the handle down only it's easier than when the air is pumped in with both strokes; push-down & pulled-up. You can switch from one to the other at any time. Pumping is not effortless but not that hard either - I look at it as additional exercise :-). Please don't stress yourself by in how many minutes you'll pump it up. It's irrelevant since we all have different physical strength and shape. This is no different than with other air-pumps in that board/price category. If you're a beginner or an intermediate rider, with a desire for some spark(s), I would say, go for it; if you can afford and willing to pay for it.As with many things in life, we're driven, by our subjective feelings and passion. This review is not immune to this; however, there is a greater attention paid to the facts rather than the feelings alone.Anyhow, if you end up being one of the owners - Welcome to the Club!
