Really love the hat.It is nice and breezy in there. It has plenty of ventilation, nice adjustable ties to fit most head sizes and a decent size lip.Most other types of such hats were covering me from the sun while cooking my brain. This is the first one that really does its job without overheating, allowing to me work without constant sweat wiping.Did I say I LOVE IT? Yes. Best purchase ever.

I was on some fieldwork recently and needed a way to keep the sun off my neck while also showing to the world that I'm an archaeologist with zero employable skills and an unjustifiable obsession with old bits of pot hidden in the earth. This hat, with its dull grey overtone and shape that cries "practical first, sexy last" was the perfect hat for the job.In all seriousness, very lightweight, breathable, and durable. It's my second of these hats (my first is desert sand coloured in case I need to camouflage myself when fighting off bad guys in Egypt; this one was for mountain camouflage). And the strap is effective without you having to garrote yourself to stop it flying off in the wind. My one gripe is the slightly flimsy rim, which occasionally decided to buckle right over my eyes and blind me. If this is likely to annoy you, a study pith helmet might suit better.

Loved it, I felt like a real adventurer! It kept sun off my face and neck in the south of france but then I left it on a chair in the town of Sete. Bought another one since, I think that the lost hat will be having a great time living in the south of france, bit jealous of it really. It's lightweight and can be folded small enough to be stuffed into my trouser pocket or you can just let it hang behind your head. It's a hat for life.

Very light good quality. I have a big head and normally need a 61cm hat. This hat fitted well with space to spare. Had a toggle to make smaller if needed.

This is my second one of these (I lost the first), and it's not as good. Other reviewers mentioned the brim being too floppy, and that's exactly the case. If there's any wind, it will constantly be blowing in your face.Otherwise it does the job nicely, cool to wear, and about as stylish as it's possible for this sort of hat to be (which isn't much).

I’m a long long time fan of Columbia products I’ve purchased. Being from the area where they’re founded, I’ve always felt confident they know their stuff as we have varying weather in Washington state.I bought this hat for standing on the sidelines during football games as a coach. In Germany, the season is during the spring/ summer, so it’s hours under the sun.I was worried it would be to small as I have a big head. But there’s some stretch to it which made the fit perfect.There’s a drawstring on the back as well for even more custom feel.It’s very breathable! I’m a sweater, this did everything it’s supposed to do plus looks good.Delivery was expected
