Not so great compilation of old live material.
I reviewed Walter Trout Live in Amsterdam and that's as good as it gets. This CD is what it is - a compilation of old live material that didn't cut it before and they left in some of the corny stage banter to make it a little more raw. Hendrix, Stevie Ray,Johnny Winter have been vaulted to death and some of them are awful. I'm waiting for the Who live @ the Royal Palace in Saudi Arabia or Twisted Sister live @ the Vatican -the Pope's mitre would spin like a beanie with a propeller on it. There's a reason this material wasn't released long ago and should hold true now. The original basement tapes of Mahalia Jackson from the 60's now we're talking. Unless you're a true collector pass on this one. My opinion only. Buy @ your own risk Bob R.

Walter knocks another one out of the park
I have been a fan of Walter's singing, writing and playing for over 20 years. This is another album that Walter shines on. Few people capture the Blues they way he can. And no one has a Strat that sounds like Walter's.

Amazing sound the whole way through.
The lyrics are more timely today than they were when these songs were written too. Walter Trout will always stand the test of time.

Classic archive stuff with a smidgen of new
Well we are now nearly getting to the end of these classic reissues, many of which are making their vinyl debut.Celebrating 25 glorious years as a frontman for his own band.It is so unfortunate that Walter has been ill during this celebratory year as im sure he would have gave us some stunning shows to recognise the fact.Hopefully once he is well enough and got himself fit and healthy(2015?),we will see THE MAN in action doing the biz.Good luck Walt my man!!!As for this release, well its a great album of archival material with a smattering of new stuff. They Call Us The Working Class would really sit nicely on the utterly awesome THE OUTSIDER album.Does that album rock or what!Gig favourite Goin Down is given a superb workout in a bbc live session with a thumping bass from the late great big guy Jimmy Trapp.Sweet As Flower(POAD) has a truly gobsmacking Sammy Avila solo(its all in the fingers).Walts cover of Long Tall Sally is so spontaneous and rockin, even Little Richard would be proud of it.I wont go through the whole album as more than likely you own the cd, but if like me you love your vinyl and Walt, buy, buy.Only 3 more to go in the series, Transition, Prisoner of a Dream and Face The Music, which I will be interested in hearing on vinyl as I thought the cd sounded a bit weak. Now come on RUF, let us fans have Live Trout, Livin Every Day and Full Circle on the black stuff

Walter Trout-Unspoiled by Progress
Anything that Walter Trout does is top marks for me and I had no reason to think otherwise when listening to this album. He knows what his fans want and continues to produce music to their needs. Top quality artist, top quality man.
