Seemed to sort the problem with my pedal, but another problem has surfaced, so I may need to purchase the contact ribbon to see if that solves the problem.

I bought this to replace the original component in my Roland Hi-Hat pedal. The original component has a limited life because the rubber eventually loses it's flexibility, stiffens and can't make proper contact with the trigger pad inside the pedal. This replacement was supplied to me already stiffer than the old component I was replacing so simply can't be used. Obviously it's not a Roland component, so it's either very old stock, or being made by people who know how to mould it but have no idea of how and why it functions, and have therefore used the wrong material.

Solves the manufacturer problem
