Auto Shocker, Quick Release Car Odor Eliminator, Eco-Friendly Chlorine Dioxide Odor Bomb for Vehicle Interior Up to 250 Cubic Feet

This stuff is AWESOME! Purchased my in-laws 2007 Ford Explorer in 2015. This truck has been hauling 2-3 smokers in it for the last 7 years. (I'm gonna pretend they didn't smoke in it the first year, cause smokers always say they won't smoke in their new vehicles ). I cleaned the hell out of the truck interior wiping and washing the leather and plastic, and followed with a spray called Ozium, sold in most auto stores. Sprayed throughout the vehicle, ran the air/heat upper and lower ducts, sprayed, and sprayed, And let it sit. It appeared to work the next morning, The odor was better, but by the first warmer day i could smell the smoke prominently. Tried more of the Ozium but wasn't lifting the smoke odor any better. A few weeks later i found and tried this Biocide system. Followed the directions, Placed it in my trucks cupholder around dusk. (Manufacturer say UV breaks down the gas of the product) About 1 hour later, held my breath, started the truck, and ran the AC In Recycle mode through all the front and rear vents for 15-20 mins. Repeated about an hour later. I Left the truck Locked up for the next day (manufacture say the product takes 4-24 hrs. I let it have the full 24). 24hrs later i opened up the Explorer, it didn't smell of smoke, but more like a chemical clean. Sorta like the chlorine area in a pool supply. That smell quickly dissipated, and in was totally gone in 3 days. Its about 60 days later of this review . We have experienced a few 80 deg. days. Ive had to remove and repair the motor on one of the power 3rd row seats and i can tell you the truck Smell of NOTHING. Even the foam and carpet of the rear seats. While fixing the back seat i found a crushed can of cat food that had leaked at some time but was totally evaporated. Have no idea how long thats been in the vehicle, couldn't smell that either. To bad Biocide can't fix the cigarette burns in the carpet and leather. I never thought the truck would smell like... a Non-Smoker vehicle. Extremely Satisfied.11/31/2015 STILL BEST PRODUCT EVER for smoke elimination. Still no smoke, or smell of nothing. Recommend over and over to anyone buying a used car.12/1/2018 Bought a 2017 Navigator to replace the Explorer earlier in this review. The new truck has some product the Dealership Detailer used "Blue Ice". It's pleasant at first but its too much, possibly a good cleaning would remove the offense but this worked so well it will be part of my "new to me" ownership rituals. The Explorer NEVER hinted of Smoker or anything since the one application.

I had some water hanging out (unknown to me) for a long time in my trunk. I discovered it when it started to smell terrible all through my car. The smell was coming through my vents. After I got the leaks repaired and the trunk cleaned and dried out, I used this product, and it worked like a charm! I would recommend thoroughly reading the instructions and watching the tutorial videos and following the instructions. It helps and is interesting, too, to know the science behind how it works.There was a slight scent of chlorine (non-toxic) for a couple of weeks after, but (1) it beats the heck out of musty and moldy trunk water and (2) once it fully dissipated, my car did not smell like anything and the bad smells have not come back, and it's been nearly a year including through a very hot Southern summer.

If your expecting this to reduce or eliminate odors, it won’t. You may as well take the $14.97 and set the money on fire inside your car. At least the smoke smell may mask some odors cause this product won’t. I bought this to use on a 21 year old car. It doesn’t smell bad inside. It just smells like old leather. I left this in the car for 25 hours. I then let the car air out with windows down all day. Today I drove the car and it smells exactly as it did before I wasted time and money on this. The name ‘Shocker’ is accurate, because you will be shocked at how little a difference it makes.

I hastily purchased a used vehicle from a dealership as they were going to give me full trade in value if I purchased another vehicle that same day. The only vehicle that met my specifications and price range formerly belonged to a smoker-a heavy smoker who apparently spent a lot of time on the road chain smoking. I have allergies and hate hate hate the smell of smoke but a deal is a deal so I bought the stinkmobile we call the Smoke Monster. All filters were changed, the car was detailed TWICE, carpets shampooed, aired out, and all kinds of cleaners and deodorizers from natural to chemical were used but nothing worked. None of it even masked the smell of smoke much less eliminate the odiferous stench. Then someone told my father in law about Biocide. I spent hours vacuuming the car and getting all dirt and debris out prior to using the product as instructed. Since UV rays make the product less effective, we parked it in the dark garage and let it sit for 24 hours. When we opened the door we definitely noticed a strong chlorine smell but not a smoke smell. Not even an underlying hint of one. I rode with the windows down for three days or so until the chlorine smell dissipated and everything seemed better for a month or so. However, once the weather started heating up-the smoke smell came back. I guess the smoke stench is so deeply ingrained in the fabrics that it may never come out. We are going to do another Biocide treatment because it did work and it was the only product we used to eliminate the smell for any amount of time.

Bought for my husband’s truck that had dog funk smell and it worked awesome. Will definitely be buying again if we need it!

So for my cold weather experiencing readers. Do not waste your time/money if it is not atleast 65° or warmer. The instructions say no cooler then 50° degrees. It was 60 in my garage and I put a cover over it and heaters to ensure best results. Added the water as instructions said and stuck it in my son's cupholder for the weekend. It seemed to me that the unless I'm mistaking read that it is supposed to fill the vehicle with gas and to let it sit for 24+hrs.Well it didn't work for me. As I am using it to get the chemical diesel smell out of a car.Obviously I have my work cut out for me.I will try it one more time on a warmer day and update my post.

I bought a heavy smoker car with cloth seats. I tried cover-up scents, ozium spray, spray on odor eliminators, charcoal bags, and they all worked a little bit. This product was by far the best, but I had to use it twice. It seems to have eliminated the cigarette smell so far.
