DC Finally Started Trying
Nightwing looks great like most DC Direct/Collectibles figures have, but this time he's got multiple textures and some unusual, unique articulation (the hips! Why didn't they keep using the hips). His gauntlet snapped off when I was initially trying to unfreeze it, but his wrist also rotates so it's not a big deal. DC figures tended to have frozen and brittle joints before Todd McFarlane's new masterpieces. This looks just like Greg Capullo's art too.

Really nice figure but with some, possibly, major flaws...
NOTE: I bought this figure, at the time, for $9 USD.This figure... looks fantastic! Definitely a great rendition of Nightwing with a solid paint job and a fine sculpture but it is not without problems, perhaps major ones, depending on you.Articulation:His arms joints were stiff but easily moved after a few trials, he can rotate his forearm and wrists, along with the shoulder and triceps. His head was actually very easy to move by itself without any problems at all!His legs were the real problem; Both knees seem to have double joints but the two knee joints AND one below joint WOULD NOT move.Turns out A LEG IS DEFECTIVE. The right leg's joint is actually reversed. You cannot bend it back but you can actually bend it forward a bit. That is an important detail to get wrong...His foot joints were very fluid and smooth, no complaints there, thankfully.PAINT JOB ISSUES:On his right shoulder, at the front, the red line at the side is actually painted over. I have a semi-circle that's rather intrusive (Image provided). His sticks came straight and rather, well done. Simple with a good finish, quite similar to the one's you'll see in the comics. Have no problems fitting into his hands either.Overall, a -really- nice figure for the money! I recommend to any Nightwing or Bat-family fans. You cannot go wrong with this collectible. I don't recommend it for playing as a toy but as a display piece, it's definitely great!

Figure is a mess
After the Joker beat Jason Todd to death with an iron club and blew him up, Batman was pretty distraught. To further add salt to his wound, Bruce Wayne ended up going to court for the disappearance of his ward Jason Todd. While leaving the trial, a gunman shot and killed Bruce Wayne on the front steps of the courthouse. Of course Bruce Wayne was alive, but secretly in a location in Tibet with no media or access to the "corrupt outside world" where he underwent a mystical recovery process with some ninjas. However, the sudden void of a Batman in Gotham left many of the criminals unchecked. Chaos abounded like never before in the latest reboot by DC Comics.Jason Todd never actually died. In fact, the Russian government had recovered from the ice his broken body. They replaced his left arm with a mechanical arm, trained him through hypnosis, electricity, and lotions. Then, they sent him to Gotham City wearing a discreet bright red hood to replace Batman. Although the Russians had named Jason Todd "Azrael", it became needful that he simply be called "Batman" to avoid confusion.Meanwhile, back in a secret location in Tibet, when Bruce Wayne saw on TV the name "Batman" being desecrated by the obvious imposter, he called Alfred to pick him up in his private jet and take him back to Gotham City. Once there, Bruce Wayne put on a Batman costume, slapped around the imposter "Batman" and became THE Batman once again or until DC sales start to dip.Now a rogue agent, Jason Todd became Nightwing. With this figure, I felt many of the essential elements to make this figure really good were missing. It is a figure made on the cheap with the colors red, black, skin tone, two white dots and maybe some more black. Really, there is nothing more to it other than a couple drumsticks or whatever they are.As a kid, it is like when you go out to eat at classy bow lining alley, truck stop or karaoke bar and your mom lets you drink out of her drink with the umbrella in it. Then, as a reward for not telling anyone since she ordered the drink for her, she lets you keep the little umbrella or tiny sword in the drink . If you are not having to drive her home taking the back roads until your sixteenth birthday, then you run home and use the umbrella for your G.I.Joes. Yet, soon you discover that Joes don't need an umbrella or sword.Same thing here. Why does Nightwing need a couple of sticks?

Great figure of a great character
Probably one of the best Nightwing action figures I've come across. He stands proudly on my shelf. Fans should be aware that because of the high degree of black plastic involved in this figure there is a high degree of PVC oil on the figure and you may need to pat him down a little bit. Nightwing is a little bulky and slightly top heavy. He also seems a little disproportionate. While I don't own any of the others in this line, I have seen them and Nightwing towers over the other figures. My only major complaint about the figure is that his face sculpt is a little boxy. The figure does look like the Greg Capullo version of the character and it's a great likeness but he has very sharp angles to his face, as if they weren't sure how to sculpt some of the angles Capullo drew and kept them flat. It's a great Nightwing figure, the strongest of those reflecting his New 52 look for sure but better than the Son of Batman or Arkham Asylum versions for sure.

Best Nightwing I Own
This Nightwing figure i must say is awesome. It has a very nice and smooth sculpt with a very good paint job. The articulation is very impressive especially for a DC comics figure. DC comics figures are really stepping it up and have become my new favorite over many Marvel figures. This figure is also pretty big. But as it might seem weird and untrue to others, I love the fact that it is has a nice height and weight to it. Feels very solid and just gives it more of a big heroic feel to it. I have him right next to my Arkham origins Batman and they look awesome side by side. All in all, a great Nightwing figure for anyone to have. Great sculpt, very nice paint job, great shine to different parts of the costume, nice solid feel, awesome articulation, and best Nightwing figure in my opinion.
