Backyards for Kids: Playhouses, Sandboxes, Tree Forts, Swing Sets, Sports Areas, and More

Although there were ideas in the book I know will never be used, there are a lot of ideas to help develop a safe haven for the entire family, not to mention the children who will play, dream, have adventures and dream more. I purchased the book to help my son with ideas for outdoor play for his son. As I purused (and that's all I did) the pages, the directions seemed to be simple, suggestions were given and warnings for things to be sure to remember to do or to look for were given too. Hope to see some of the ideas become realities for my grandson.

You will not find detailed plans. Has nice photos from several angles, sometimes sketches. No material lists. Most cases you have to figure out how to build the project. Still, the book is OK with very nice ideas.

I love this book. Ordered it used and it's in excellent shape. I'm glad I bought it used and saved a ton of money. It got here fast too. And the best part is this book is everything I wanted and then some. It has given me more ideas and it gives great step by step instructions. I can't wait to get building!!!! Thanks!

This book is a good general guide for backyard ideas. The pictures were great and clearly showed what was being described. Some of the explanations for building were detailed, but most were a little general. I would've liked more details about some of the projects. I think I was hoping for more treehouses than playhouses. Still a good book which perfectly fits its Amazon product description.

If you are looking for kits or ideas this is good book. If you are looking for plans to build one yourself, keep looking

The book is high quality glossy, and I have perused it, but have not started to build anything yet, so I wil report later on.

Plans are easy to read and understand. Donated one to raise money for school trip to defray cost for some children and parents

I love this book for the fact that it gives you ideas on how to spruce up your backyard for the kids
