A deliciously devilish collection of poems. Robbins' clever use of descriptive prose gives us a picture of contemporary American culture. Yet behind the prose, one cannot help but think that there is a critical, poetic commentary. Perhaps Robbins aches for a return to a simpler time? Perhaps there never was such a time?
