A comprehensive guide to pressure caning food
This is more than just a run of the mill guide. It has the usual information that you’d expect such as the hows, the whys and what you need etc. What makes this book stand out to me most is that it gives you an array of tasty recipes that anyone can make, using ingredients that you probably already have most of in the cupboard! be aware that the measurements are in pounds of pressure, so make sure that you Google a pounds to psi converter while using.

Great for beginners
This book's been a great guide for me, easy to follow and understand, and super practical, with helpful pictures. I also loved all the safety tips. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to get into canning but hasn't got a clue about how to do it like me. Makes for a good start.

Awesome book for anyone looking to get started with pressure canning!
Loved this book. Very well put together and thought through. I'm a total beginner to pressure canning so the step by step process Linda teaches really helped with overwhelm. The more I read the more at ease I felt and excited to start making my own jars of yummy food! Also loved the variety of recipes! There are so many, you are sure to find one that's right just for you and for the season!

Essential guide to pressure canning for beginners
Book cover quality is great, however the inner photos are all black and white, seem lesser quality often faded, does not really depict what a recipe would look like. Instructions are straight forward. Also is printed by Amazon I think things could look better and be better value for your money.

Comprehensive and detailed!This book contains all information needed to successfully start your pressure canning - exactly what it says on the tin! Very helpful pictures and lots of good recipes!Recommended!

Good book let down my some issues
While overall it's good there is a serious mistake on page 16 where I think the author gets a pressure wrong. I think "15" should be "10".The author's use of "pounds of pressure" rather than atmosphere adjusted PSI is annoying.For non US readers you'll need to convert a lot of "feet" and F in your head as you read as you not accommodated in the text.The author's understanding of the physics, page 15, leaves a lot to be desired.

Great starter!
It showed pictures of what different type of pressure cookers there are so you can do more research into how to use it. The recipes and instructions are easy to follow. I love it!

Easy to follow
Lots of good info, especially for beginners. Include a bunch of recipes and suggestions. I didn’t try many as I went into a different canning method but kept the book to have on hand.

Opens up a whole new world of food possibilities
As a single, non-cooking male new to the marvelous and easy technique of pressure cooking, this book opens up a whole new world to me for preparing tasty meals and dishes using pressure CANNING. I’d never given this a thought before, but the author lays out the easy steps to doing it safely and effectively. I was particularly impressed with the vegetarian options, particularly the section on beans. This book is excellently written and organized, with many helpful pictures. Highly recommended!
