Goldtouch GT8-0017 SLIM LINE BLACK WRIST REST KOV-GT8-0017

It is the most expensive wrist rest sold on Amazon and I think it is overpriced. However, I was willing to pay the difference in hope that the slimline model is an improvement over the typical run of the mill wrist pad. I do like the slim line versus the typical thicker one. I think it is a good quality product and would expect it to make a difference in how a transcriptionist would feel after working using a keyboard all day long on the job.UPDATED REVIEW: June 13, 2018I feel compelled to update my review in the hope that my added comments may help anyone shopping for a wrist pad who has sensitive skin. Over time my right wrist developed an irritation (I only rest my right wrist on the rest pad). . . only after months of use and severity increased I became aware that the source of my wrist irritation is the material used in this wrist rest. I have used various wrist pads over the years and never had the problem prior. Maybe it is the lycra? I don't know, but regardless I will have to replace this wrist pad. I am thinking that the clear gel pad may be a good choice for replacement.

I wanted to like this product as it was recommended to me by a loved one. I will say it is comfortable for the wrists & got the job done. However, only after a month or so, the label began to peel off. Within 6 months the pad got weird bubbles in it and the gel moved around making the surface uneven. Less than two years since the purchase and the gel has burst through a seam & the smell is so chemically. My family member has a mousepad with wrist support AND keyboard pad for half the price of this that has lasted longer than this product. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your hard-earned money on this.

Low profile, gel filled, smooth fabric layer. I did a lot of research and purchased first one over 4 years ago, and a second recently for working from home. I work 15 hour days at a computer, original one still in great shape after 4+ years. Lettering has come off but no peeling fabric and still stays put on the desk. Fabric layer helps for fast typing, sliding hands across the keyboard and to the mouse and wrists don't stick after hours of typing like the faux leather ones I have tried.

This wrist rest was recommended to may by the ergonomics person at work and I am so grateful. I am on my seond one of these, the first one lasted over 8 years and probably would have lasted longer except I accidetntly ran over it with the car! Also small enough to slip in a bag for travel which I appreciate a lot.

Very comfortable and right height for my keyboard which is raised in the front.
