Well formulated, quality serum; hydrates, exfoliates, lessens roughness + great bottle!
Dr. Different -- what a great name... This is a fairly thick, rich serum but it absorbs quickly and doesn't weigh my skin down as I expected it to, from the ingredients listed. The serum seems targeted to those with oily skin or skin prone to acne or breakouts. I actually have very dry and dehydrated skin that is quite sensitive, except for part of the T-zone (just my nose and chin) that can be a bit problematical sometimes. This product is also hydrating and calming + it purportedly helps to refine pores. I have enlarged pores on my nose and chin and I've tried many different serums -- some seem to help a bit but nothing is as effective as I would like, so I'm always interested in trying new skin care products. I use this on my entire face, very lightly applied once a week or so. I have experienced no irritation or other ill effects and it does seem to help calm my skin and reduce some of the roughness that goes along with my dry skin. I use it on my nose and chin on a daily basis. It is a clear, syrupy serum and it goes on easily and takes a few minutes to be absorbed into my skin. It feels tacky for about ten minutes or so. It definitely helps to lightly exfoliate my skin although I haven't really noticed any lessening of the appearance of my pores, at least so far. It does temporarily tighten the skin and it isn't too drying. The serum has a light, refreshing scent that doesn't last very long (the serum has no added fragrance, but the ingredients do add a scent of their own). I like the use of the linoleic acid in the TX Pore Capsules -- along with Vitamin E, this acid makes up the tiny spheres suspended in the serum. The fluid part of the serum contains the niacinamide and tea tree oil. I'm not sure why the second part of the product description refers to retinal. The active ingredients are 5% niacinamide and 2.5% linoleic acid. I appreciate that the ingredients are listed in the product description. This seems to be a high quality, well-formulated serum; the current price of $46.00 does seem rather high, but I have high hopes for this product. I don't think I will know for sure how effective it is at reducing my pores for another six to eight weeks. But it is hydrating and soothing, and I like the way it makes my skin feel so far. The serum is packed in a delightful little blue glass bottle (yes, that is what initially attracted my attention!) with a fun shape. It arrived nicely boxed and properly sealed. I'm glad I found this and I will be sure to explore other products in this Korean skin care line.

A Good Layer Of Protection
When I first saw this serum, I kept putting off ordering this. Was totally suckered in by the pretty blue bottle, but the description made it sound like it might be too drying for my combination skin. Even once it arrived, I waited until one of those days when I felt like my face needed something to help control excess sebum production. Boy, was I surprised with what this is really like. It's not drying at all. In fact, it's quite gentle and even seems to provide you with a little moisturization. Not so much though that those with oily skin will be bothered by this. The serum itself is clear and is the type that to me feels like a thin layer of liquid plastic once layered over the skin. That sounds bad, but it's not. More of a protective coating than anything. Though it's layered over the face, the skin can still breathe easily. I've not had it cause me any sort of breakouts, oiliness or greasiness. If anything, my combination skin feels balanced. Clean enough for the oily aspect of my complexion, yet just hydrating enough for the drier side.Very good for all skin types with it being perfect for those of us with combination skin.

Great serum
I used this serum along with the same brand of toner pads as my daily routine for about a week this serum comes in a nice glass greenish blue tinted bottle the serum looks really nice visually when inside of the bottle if that matters to you. in your hand its just like most other serums having no real color. I applied 4 drops to my fingers with the dropper and then applied it to my face I found that this was enough to cover everything I wanted to and never felt I needed more. When using this serum I never felt any stinging or discomfort and always enjoyed the application if anything my face felt firmer after using it only negative I can think of is that like most serums this one leaves a sticky residue on your face until it is fully absorbed. Overall this is a quality serum everything from the ingredients to the presentation is good this will be one of my favorite serums in a crowded market although I have to admit that this is in part due to the color of the bottle but in such a crowded market anything counts to stand out if you need a serum you might want to try this one out.

fun bottle, easy application, good with sensitive skin
I am in my late 40's with dry, sensitive skin and I will just say it . . . I bought this for the unique bottle. This arrived in a sealed box. The bottom jar is a light aqua glass . . . I am not certain it is dark enough to protect from light damage but it is better than clear glass. The bulb tip dropper does a good job of releasing one drop or more of product as needed. This serum is clear and has the consistency of an aftersun aloe product. There are small bubbles of something in it that smooth into the skin. The serum sinks into my skin effortlessly without any rubbing or tugging, and feels good on my face. There is no shine or tackiness. I really like the application. This really does help my skin feel nourished. I haven't seen a reduction in pore size or acne, but I like the way it makes my skin feel so will continue using it. I am able to follow with my normal moisturizer with no problems. I have had no issues with my sensitive skin.Made in Korea. Expiration date 11.04.24

Possibly overpriced because of the cool bottle
It's $41 right now. It had a sticker seal. It's a unique bottle and texture (that I don't actually feel). It has a bulb dropper, which I like. There is a very light tea tree scent. The serum seems a bit thicker because it doesn't deposit as much serum as most other droppers. It takes a bit extra and dries quickly. My face doesn't look remarkably different right after applying this than the average serum. In fairness though, I don't have large pores or acne. I'm hoping to lighten some dark spots. We'll see. If you have those issues, I haven't seen enough to recommend you start with this product when there are so many others out there for less. This may work, but I have the feeling you're paying extra for the bottle.
