JagwireJW-RCK700 Road Elite Link Brake Kit Cable, Black, One Size

I can actually tell a difference. I am using this cable along with Jagwires compressionless cable housings and running them to a set of Juin Tech F1 cable actuated hydraulic brake set. It works way better than the traditional cable actuated brake and it is cheaper and there is less maintenance required(no bleeding lines, no special cut hoses if you have internal routing.

This looks complicated... It was surprisingly easy to use once I got it. Really nice, super light and great performance. Only housing I'll use now.

I used this along with an old Avid stainless cable-tube set to firm up the feel of cable actuated disc brakes. The set up worked great and now my brakes feel very close to hydraulic brakes. Easy to configure and install. A little pricey but nowhere near the cost of Nokon cable kits.

Box says includes brake cables, only one cable in the box. Very annoying

I recently purchased this after using it previously. I am disappointed with my most recent purchase. The two biggest issues are that the cables are no longer black, and the cable housing near the shifter is not smooth.

For internal routing you need to purchase the recommended Jagwire Pro KEB-SL brake housing that is difficult to source.

Jagwire is my go-to for cabling bikes. I had to re-cable my brakes on fitting Di2 and replaced the Road Elite sealed stuff with this and the link stuff is a definite upgrade. It's significantly lighter than trad cable housing and way more flexible. It's also easier to adjust the link length than cutting cable housing. I highly recommend this stuff.

エリートリンクの巷の評判の多くは「軽量」「引きが軽くなる」「深く曲げられる」とかですが最大のメリットは「ブレーキング時にほとんど縮まない」事です。節(リンク)の接合部の凹凸が動物の骨の関節、ボールジョイントのような形状のため通常のケーブルルーティングレベルでの曲げ方ぐらいでは接合部に隙間が生じない造りになっています。一般的なブレーキアウターケーブルは内部にコイル巻きでステンレスが巻かれてますがコイルに隙間が生じないのは真っ直ぐな状態の時だけで曲げた場合はブレーキを引いた時に収縮する力がかかり真っ直ぐに戻ろうとするのでその分力をロスしてしまいます。ドロップハンドルにテープで巻かれてれば動かないので縮みませんがフリーになってる部分は真っ直ぐに戻ろうとするため必ず縮みますので力のロスは避けられません。グロータックのequalの付属ケーブルは収縮対策されてますがそれと引き換えに深く曲げられないという欠点があります。なのでどうしても曲げたいが収縮ロスが発生するのでブレーキの性能が引き出しきれない、という場合の最後の手段がエリートリンクです。フロントはバーテープからアウターが出ている部分からブレーキまで、リアはバーテープからアウターが出ている部分からトップチューブかダウンチューブの手前までとトップチューブかダウンチューブの後端からブレーキまでをエリートリンクに変更すると収縮ロスが大幅に減り、ブレーキの効きも良くなります。トップチューブ又はダウンチューブのアウターは真っ直ぐであればあまり収縮ロスしないのでエリートリンクにする必要は無いです。ただしシマノのブレーキアウターは直線状態でも他社より縮むのでシマノのブレーキアウターを使ってる場合は他社製に換えた方がいいです。ジャグワイヤーやDCMの自転車売り場の切り売りケーブルの方が縮みません。

重量と形状は大変気に入っています。一部ノーマルのケーブルを使わなければならず、改良が必要。

通常のアウターより曲率を大きく取れるためハンドルの取り回しが軽くなりました。今回、末端まで１本のライナーで導入しましたが、そのためにはライナーが通せるアウター受けのスモールパーツが足らず一部穴を広げる加工が必要でした。
