Preschool class loves it!
My preschool class loves this book so much, I bought it for my Nephew who is the same age. Super fun and silly, they ask for it to be read all the time.

Little ones love this book!
We had a copy of this book for our grandchildren. It was read so many times they started reading it to us. My husband was chatting with a woman who works in a bakery coffee shop, she mentioned that her four year old son has a thing for garbage trucks. I ordered her a copy. Her son loves it!

Amazing and funny book in terrible condition
I gave this five stars for the story in the book and the illustrations. However, the condition that it arrived was horrible, even by used standards.I ended up returning it and purchasing the book elsewhere, and the story is so funny and cute. I read this to my littles using a deep New York accent and they were cracking up the whole time. I plan on buying the other in the series from the McMullans.

Funny
I've never heard of or seen the associated cartoon, but I found this book hilarious. My 2 year old loves it and it somehow manages to hold his attention. I also got copies for his classroom and grandma's house.

Love it
This book is so funny. We read it when my girls were little and we have bought it a few times as a gift for other kids. They love how it says he stinks and then always got to go watch for the garbage truck to come the next time.

I Stink delights the grandsons and their friends!
We first heard I Stink read at the Brooklyn Library on 9th Avenue last year during the children's hour. All the children there that day loved it. We checked out the book and brought it home and read it again that afternoon to the the other family in our building with pre-preschoolers. During the time we had it checked out we read it over and over. Soon my 3 year old grandson was reading the many of the words and saying the sounds having memorized the story. He wrote "I Stink" with stick on letters in the bathtub. We ordered the book for him through Amazon for Christmas and it is a favorite with him and his brother who is now 20 months old. If your boys (and girls, too)like watching the garbage trucks come by and pick up the trash and garbage, they will love this story with so many "sounds," etc. It also helps children to build an understanding of how services work in the city and elsewhere and how important those services are to all of us no matter where we live, but especially in the city.

I really want to love this book, but I don't...
Bought this as my son is obsessed with the TV series based on these books. The characters in the show have children's voices and they solve problems and it's great. In this book though, the character/story kinda has a bad attitude and is a bit aggressive. "Did I wake you? Too bad". I wouldn't buy it again if I'm being honest, but without these stories, my son's favourite show wouldn't exist. The 'I'm Dirty' book from the same series is more friendly. He recognises the characters which is important for him, but the dialogue is totally different.

Very dark for an ABC book
I thought this might be a new take on an alphabet book but I found the language quite aggressive in tone and the illustrations and text layout unpleasant. It's full of Americanisms. This in itself would have been down to personal preference but I had to give it a one star as two of the pages were not separated at the top, so all in very disappointed. A book destined for the charity shop.

Funny book
The way this book is written is unusual, short, sharp sentences, some language I struggle to understand. But it’s quite funny and my son seems to like it.

Grandson's favourite
My grandson, aged 3 and a half, loves this book. He wants it read over and over. A nice link between fiction and non-fiction.
