Very quiet gear, easy set up 3.73I had an expensive Motive gear set in my custom built 8.8 and I couldn't get it to run quiet no matter what. Set it up perfectly new bearings, shim kit, crush sleeve eliminatorSlow multiple short heat cycles changed fluid 2xChecked pattern and lash it was spot on.The Motive gear was just bad noise on excel and decel.So I went with the FORD Performance gear set and WOW what a difference! I used the same bearings so I know it wasn't a bearing causing an issue..The car is a dream to drive again with zero rear end noise.Ford gear in a Ford housing who would've thought...

Easy Set up Quiet operation
I've set up many gears in the past 40 years, but Ford Racing Gears are by far the easiest to set up and quietest gear sets made. Highly recommend this seller. Great product and service.

Great set of gears, exacting tolerances.
Installed in the rear of a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis. Just like the rumors said, the tolerances are so close to the factory parts that I didn't even need to change the shims - the backlash was perfect. Always verify though. Set includes a crush sleeve and a nut.
