I bought the cheapest chronograph option, and that’s what I got. I asked the seller if it also read out in fps in addition to meters ps and was told my question was too technical, they would have to ask the manufacturer. They never got back to me. Bottom line, it doesn’t. Also one of the 3 top straps didn’t work from the start. But only two are needed, so I was able to use the device. The instructions are vague, incomplete, and minimal. All that being said, the thing works. It’s easy enough to convert from mps to fps. But if I had it to do over again, I spend the extra $50 and get the better one. But it’s not an every day use item, so it’s inconveniences are not worth the trouble of returning it.

The instructions tell you what you need to know but take some work to decipher. Tripod is dollar store quality and since the lights run straight to the housing on metal rods, I’d guess that they’re “hot” so beware or add some shrink tube. Will update with a better or worse score depending on if it works or not. On another note it supposedly calculated kinetic energy as well as velocity but only does so in m/s for velocity. Not sure what the energy measurement is in but going to guess Joules. Easy enough to convert both to what I want so I could care less about that. It lists an fps range on the instructions and in the description but there’s nothing stating how to change it over. I attached pictures of the instructions so you know what you’ll get. Mine came with an extra light bar but don’t know if it is supposed to or no so your experience may vary. They also do not indicate positive or negative on the machine or light bar so you have to guess and flip if you’re wrong. Not a big deal but if one were unfamiliar with how electronics worked they might think it was just broken. For those that care I intend to use it to measure velocity of hand packed freedom seeds and carbon fiber shafts.

This product stopped working after ten days of use.
