Silver in color, this remote control sun shade took me by surprise on how easy it is to setup, operate, take down then stow away with its size. The entire package is not light but I was able to easily put up atop my 4runner SUV (see pictures) since my girlfriend's Prius wasn't available to test with. The circular suction cup at the base seems to hold the entire shade in place though I could not center the assembly on the roof. The remote control is no larger nor special than average, but the 120v connection cable almost didn't reach the socket. Coverage is adequate to my satisfaction, we just had a 96 degree day here in the Pacific NW, the summer's barely begun, so I'm looking forward to using this during the next humid day. Yes, for the price I would recommend it, had a question if it would work on a convertible, it would be difficult unless you had a targa top, imho. I'm also in doubt how well this will handle windy days so I'm saving the extra star rating.

This was purchased for my husband's Subaru. He takes it everywhere, especially when he has the dog with him. It completely shades the car and protects the car from harsh sun light. It really does only take a minute or two to put up once you understand what to do. Not good in a strong wind as it's an umbrella!

Easy to install & covers well but I had t return it. After a couple of weeks, I installed it & one of the supports snapped. The connections are plastic.
