Genuine Product
I bought another product before reading the description about it authenticity.. but it was fake. And this one is 100% genuine. Its not very soft.. means nothing is added. Melts only when we rub or message on our skin. That true cream colour and nutty smell tells its a 100% shea butter. Nothing to compare with other products. Go for it.

Take time to get used to it . . .
I’ve been using this for a while now. As someone who spends a lot of money on organic foods so that I reduce my exposure to pesticides and other chemicals, I decided one day about a year or so ago that I was tired of using lotions that have 30 unpronounceable ingredients in them. I wouldn’t eat those chemicals, so why was I smearing them on my skin where they can also be absorbed into my blood? Do you doubt that the chemicals in your lotion get absorbed into your skin? I’m sure you’ve seen smoking cessation and birth control patches before, so you know that medications and other chemicals can be absorbed through your skin.I started my search for an organic, one-ingredient moisturizer and it didn’t take me long to settle on this shea butter. I’d never tried anything like it, but I ordered some and gave it a try.It was not a case of love-at-first-smear. Not at all. The shea butter seemed grainy and lumpy to me, and entirely unlike the other lotions I’d used all my life. When I first tried it, I figured that it was too . . . I don’t know what, to be used just out of the container on its own so I looked on YouTube and found some recipes for how to incorporate it into a few different kinds of body butter and whip concoctions. I’m not really what you’d call a cosmetics guy, so it all seemed like kind of a lot of work to me and it was a bit discouraging after a while. I figured I’d just go back to my regular old chemical lotions.I don’t know what happened, though, but I stuck with it. I ordered another tub of it, and another. By the third container, I wasn’t even processing or mixing it in any way. I was just scooping it right out of the container and using it. Some containers you open and they’re smooth, creamy, and very user-friendly and inviting. Some containers seem kind of hard and with an almost granular consistency. It doesn’t even matter to me anymore. I don’t even pay attention to that, I just use them the same either way.I think there are two keys to success with this: 1) don’t take too much out at once, and 2) work it in much more aggressively than you would a normal lotion. If you’re going to moisturize your hands, you’re really looking for only about a little smear of it on your palm the size of your finger tip. Then work it hard and fast between your palms and the friction will melt it down to a useable consistency. Keep it moving and cover your hands with it, front and back, and you won’t be disappointed. It may be the best moisturizer you ever used. After you get the hang of getting it on your hands, try it on the rest of your body, working it between your hands to melt it before you put it elsewhere. It may be the most effective moisturizer or skin conditioner you’ve ever used. I even use a small residual amount in my hair. You’ll notice that it’s still on even after you wash your hands a couple of times, and if you do a full-body treatment you’ll notice that it still has an affect a day later, even after you’ve showered. At this point I have a whole post-shower routine where I smear a little on both legs, both arms, and my chest and I let it melt for a bit while I do my hands. Then I go back and work in the rest. Just make sure to use only the smallest amount at first, otherwise you’ll find it heavy and greasy. It was so exotic and unusual to me at first and now it’s just how I roll. “Normal” lotions seem like a joke to me now. They seem like water. As someone who puts a lot of thought and money into nutrition (I also teach Nutrition also at a college) I’m pretty skeptical of the word “organic” on the label of this shea butter. I wouldn’t put too much stock in that. It doesn’t have the actual USDA Organic logo on it, and I suspect that the requirements for putting the word “organic” on a product label are a lot less strict than on food in the US. But nevertheless, this product, whether organically raised or not, has exactly one ingredient in it. Compare that to the lotions that you’ve been using all your life. It’s so much simpler.Yes, it’s a bit harder to use than the mass-marketed lotions, but it’s worth putting in a little time to see if you can get the hang of it. You’ve got one real ingredient here on your skin instead of 20 industrial chemicals. It’s worth a little technique, and ultimately, not only has it got to be better for you, but it just works better as a moisturizer anyway.

Wonderful, miraculous and great, are a few things I have to say about the Shea Butter, read on for more...
This is a jar of miracles. My kitty cat, Star-Baby had a really bad reaction to the Scoopfree blue died litter, red bumps all over her front legs. It must have itched something awful, she literally licked her hair off both front legs from knees to heals in a matter of a week (she doesn't like being turned upside down, so we had a struggle to finally see what was going on). I was shocked! Not knowing what I could use that wouldn't hurt her if/when she licked it off. So I used the gauze finger tubing and taped it lightly top and bottom, but she had real issues with having something wrapped around her legs... I am still giggling quietly picturing her shacking her left leg, then take a step like she was drunk, shook the right leg and moved another step. Then she gnawed at each bandage, but since it didn't come off she kept up the "drunk-but-I'm-not" dance steps. It was a sight to behold, and I love my Star with all my heart, but couldn't help myself laughing. It's a new dance she invented: shake left front leg, sit and gnaw, get up, shake and take one step. All kitties, everyone now, ready.... 1..2...3...Shake the right leg first - then sit and chew on gauze - now up we go - shake one more time then carefully place foot one step in front - and shake again - now do the same with your life leg...and .repeat - Wait, falling over is not part of this do-si-do...and your not in rhythm!. I am sorry, don't mean to offend any kitty that can't keep up, and definitely not your owners! 😽😺😽🐱Anyway, as I said I dearly love my companion of 20+ years, but wouldn't have thought she could invent such contortions and intricate dance steps.... but back to the review: I had decided that the bandaging was not going to work, just then my first time order of this Shea butter arrived in the mail. I read the ingredients and finding them to be totally natural, and knowing that Shea butter can be eaten if one so inclined, I promptly applied a little of it to one leg only. I needed to see how she would respond and to watch her closely for any reactions or vomiting. Everything was okay so far, except the fact that she just hates being picked up not for cuddling but to be turned upside down, brrr. Well to shorten the story, three days of 3 applications each day she is,was, totally healed AND, her hair has now, one week later, completely grown back. Not a bump left of the dozen or so on each leg. She won't come near me when I'm in the bathroom now though, not a dumb cat she is, 🐺🐺🐆 ,no sirry! There were no physical problems, no vomiting or diarrhea, and that makes me happy, very happy. So I can say with absolute certainty that my Star-Baby was miraculously healed and restored by this pure Shea butter, but the dance steps she invented are unfortunately not going to make it into infamy outside our home.I have used the butter on my dry skin, dabbling it gently over my under-eye bags, to my itchy eyelids and even to a burn on my thumb, I got from being too lazy to put on oven mitts, but since it's butter/fat I put it on only AFTER it was cold, (you don't ever want to put any fat, butter, on a burn, you fry things in fats so it's only natural that your burn will be made worse with any fat, actually keeps cooking you, always get ice or a pack of frozen food and put quickly on a burn,) and the third degree burn blister had popped. Result: Excellent! It's all healed in one week! That's quick!I have only one beef, and was actually going to deduct a star but changed my mind on that taking all the result in consideration, the butter is awfully difficult to get out of the jar. It's so hard I probably should use a spoon or butter knife. I wish it came with a metal scoop. The struggle I had with Star-Baby and keeping her in my lap was only made more difficult because I couldn't get the butter out of the jar much less warm it in my hands to soften it so it could be easily applied to her legs. The same goes for my burn.I try to warm it in the jar by rubbing my warm finger over a small are in the jar and then scoop that up and apply and repeat but that actually is not sanitary and I could contaminate the butter in the jar. There has to be an easier way to use/remove this wonderful Shea butter from the jar. Besides my fingers are more often than not cold.If anyone who uses this Shea butter has any suggestions I be all ears.I don't think I would ever want to be without this great natural resource.

As Expected
This Shea Butter is as most have described it. It is pretty hard to get out of the container, it needs to get a bit warm from the touch and you need to dig to get it out. The smell is something you need to get used to, very earthy smelling. I would not use this before a night on the town due to the smell but it works well at night before sleep on my hands and feet leaving them moisturized and less itchy.
