Fun to build and fun to play
I built this with my 8 year old nephew, and we had lots of fun with it on the days before Halloween. It is fun to watch things connect in a child’s eyes, and the knowledge that they make the power with no batteries needed! It was a “you’re a wizard “ moment. Very cool. Easy to build. Fast delivery

Fun learning toy for the kids!
I teach science and this was one of the incentives for kids if they are doing a great job. Because some of them made great growth I invited them to put this together with me. The kids had a lot of fun. We made sure to not lose all the little bits (and it could be easy to lose them) but we got it going. The kids really like it and they are proud when we are able to use it. I really recommend it to anyone who wants to try something fun for the kids that you can build with them.

Small pieces
Lots of tiny pieces. Too small for what I was looking for!

Extremely engaging!
I gave one to four different groups of students and told them they had 30 minutes to figure It out. They loved collaborating and attempting different solutions until they finally were able to make it work. Great addition to my Energy unit as an engagement lesson.

Didn't work
Basing this on what I was told: gave as a gift. Was told the gears would not spin and the lightbulb never lit up.

Very cool: different colors when cranking in different directions!
My son loves it and I like to play with it occasionally too :)

Simple and novel
My kid had so much fun making and playing with this. It’s very simple, but the two colored LEDs Really helped him to understand that electricity is a current flows in a direction.

Fun
Very fun, a tad bit flimsy but that’s relevant to the price. My son had SO much with it.
