Roof holds water causes it to collapse. I pitched it with bricks. I close the roof when not in use and don't sit under when it's raining.

UPDATED: Raised rating to 4 stars. Company offered to replace and provided any damaged parts without charge. Customer service was unmatched and helpful throughout. While some minor design flaws, in earlier versions that hopefully they remedy with later ones, happy that they stand behind their product. Will try a new fabric.----Somewhat decent value, fairly easy to assemble.Issues1. fabric easily discolors from a gray to a light purple in less than a year of use.2. Fabric sags upon weight of first rain.3. Some screws and connectors rust almost immediately4. Magnets to close might as well not be there as doesn’t hold it closed with even the slightest wind, has to be separately tied down.Probably won’t get more than 2-3 years use out of this.

I needed something that could withstand a lot of wind and this one works! I have had it for 2 years and the frame is in great shape. It looks great and is easy to retract the cover. I added side curtains separately from Amazon for extra shade but they are not necessary.

(Second review) I’m back for a second review. I noticed today that the material has changed color from the light gray to a shade of grayish pink from the sun! Not what I expected. I’m disappointed that my first review (below) I mentioned the seller was great to send pieces missing but I tried to contact them today via Amazon and was unable due to the product being purchased more than 30 days ago. I guess the added protection plan I purchased really didn’t cover anything.(First review) Easy build for two people only took about 1.5 hours. The color matches great with my existing furniture and we’ve received many compliments about it.The retractable canopy is not water resistant and slight rain will get you wet. I wish I had purchased the waterproof pergola instead but this will do till we build our addition. We simply added some plastic sheets over top as a temporary solution when it rains.Two of the pieces came with small dents but it was fine.I purchased the protection plan and upon building I realized two parts needed to complete assembly were damaged so I contacted the company via Amazon protection plan and within a week I received all the pieces to complete assembly. I want to mention I followed instructions when beginning assembly and made sure to account for all pieces, however didn’t realize until assembly began that the two pieces were defective. So not necessarily entirely the fault of the company that I had to wait a few more days to finish assembly while waiting for the parts.I did also purchase two 35lb magnet hooks to keep the retractable canopy closed. The magnet attachment it comes with is weak and the slightest breeze will lift off and the retractable canopy will disconnect from magnets provided.

Looks like a great easy assembly, however the material has turned purple in three weeks of setting up, I purchased the gray. I guess after another month or so I will have to replace with some other type of covering.Update: I received an e mail here and they offered to make it right, I mentioned if they could send replacement material only and never heard back, for that I drop to a 1 star

I usually don’t write many reviews, when I do it’s because it was worth writing. The pergola took a couple of hours to put together, the quality is aluminum but good value(quality/price). What set this experience apart was the customer service. (5 stars)- I had some damage caused by a storm, I contacted the seller and right away they got back to me requesting picture of damage and replacement parts numbers. To my surprise they offered a replacement pergola when I offered the evidence. Communication was always present and very professional. If you are looking for a Pergola from a company that will back it, look no further….stress free!!!!

The canopy doesn't shed rain and acts like a rain catcher. I received one inch of rain and the weight of the water broke the hangers. Complete collapse of the canopy! Other than that, the few weeks that I've had it, it was fine.

In May of 2023, we purchased the 10 X 13 outdoor pergola from Happatio through Amazon. We a happy with the final product and our experience with Happatio. The product came well packaged and once all parts were unwrapped we did not have any issues with the directions to assemble the product. The final product is exactly what we were hoping for, a sturdy structure that provides us with shade during the day and a place to enjoy our summer evenings. We did need to interact with customer service and they were excellent. They genuinely cared about our minor concerns and treated us with respect. We have recommend the Happatio 10 X 13 outdoor pergola to others and recommend it to individuals reading this review.
