Great for Fondant work especially for beginners!
I’m still a beginner on cake-baking and when I got a request for a basketball cake I was so glad to have purchased this! It saved me from having to roll out uneven fondant by hand. I’m really grateful for this tool! This tool helped me get a little more comfortable with fondant since I’m not the best when it comes to working with fondant nor am I a fan of it.

Easy to clean
I use this to clay caulk my molds for concrete countertops. one fill of the tube will give you a 1/4 bead about 8 feet long. It's fast and convenient. I haven't tried any of the other adapters. Your clay needs to be quite moist or it will dome and push out the circular metal shaping piece.

Used for a minute - would never open again
Ordered the clay extruder... and it was great for about 3 minutes. I used it once. It should be noted that no instructions came with it, it is packaged in a plain white-and-clear plastic zip bag. Seems fairly straightforward, though - load kneaded clay into the barrel, put in the extruding plate you want, twist handle, clay extrudes. That's exactly what I did. It made a single lovely little test snake of clay, with minimal effort, which was why I bought this variety, and not the kind where you press the plunger down instead of turning - I've tried that kind before, and it's punishing on your hands. I was thrilled... until I attempted to open the barrel again to clean it and change the plate. It would not open. Not the back end. Not the front end with the plate. Not any end. Not with several gloves, fabrics and devices to gain grip on it. Not with two different sorts of wrenches. Not with two different people trying. Not under hot water, not with tapping it on things, not with any device or method available to the household. We can only assume that it is not constructed in a way that keeps the clay out of the threads (though this does little to explain the top portion failing to unscrew later, as I did not load it that full) and that it's now just hopelessly gummed with stubborn clay. The clay in question is the rather ordinary and unassuming Super Sculpey Medium, kneaded to a soft consistency. I cannot speak to the many other "colors" (read: completely different items) in this listing, but I wholeheartedly advise against the extruder. I'll be purchasing a different, and hopefully more reliable brand in the future. One that opens more than a single time.

Ok....lesson learned.
First go went great. I did note that to remove the plate you have to back up the press. But after first use the seal ring was destroyed and so clay gets pushed under the plate making it very hard to disassemble. I will be researching a better brand.

This company is very quick to reply and has great customer service. I look forward to all the fun things I am going to make with this product. It is well made and seems very strong so I see it lasting a very long time. Great product.

Very easy to use!
I have used this with my Sculpey III polymer clay. Soften your clay first and it goes through the smallest holes easily. Easy to use and clean after use. Would highly recommend.

Easy handy tool for fondant and cake decorators
Good tool, use it primarily for fondant. It’s not super sturdy but okay for light use. Works great with fondant and soft clay

Good extruder; clean very thoroughly first.
The extruder arrived in very good time. It was covered in a light grease which proved fairly difficult to remove; hot water, hot water and soap, rubbing alcohol, WD40 all failed to completely remove it. This is not good for a food intended item, however, this is being used with polymer clay. A bit of scrubbing with a soft bristled nail brush and soaking in rubbing alcohol eventually mostly worked. Another irregularity I found is some of the discs are iron-based (probably steel) and can stick to a magnet (great for easy storage), however, at least a third of the discs are not iron-based because they don't stick to the magnet, which is frustrating. I would also liked to have had a size variation in the square disc, like the circle discs have, rather than some of the more weird shapes. All in all a good product. All the issues are with the manufacturer, not the seller.

Good extruder but…
… my fondant comes out well but unfortunately after the first use the rubber seal on the extruder cracked and the second timeI used it, the rubber broke in half! It should come with a few replacements in the pack!
