I'm very happy with this dark pink salt from The Spice Lab.. I have been using it to make sole. Sole is simply salt and water, IMO the quality of the salt is extremely important and I prefer to use Himalayan salt. The chunks are big. They have pretty color and it does taste sulty.

This is the cleanest most delicious bang for your buck! You will need a heavy duty cast iron mortar and pestle or a grinder mill of sort, as it can be hard to get salt broken down (my mom was using a hammer and a plastic baggie, but please avoid this unless it is for emergency). I used to buy Himalayan salt in "granulated form" and I would literally taste the silica they would add into the salt, all the companies do this, well, most of them. This is why it is just safer and healthier, and you create a "saltier" better tasting salt when you grind it up fresh yourself.

Beautiful pink rocks all larger than the regular mouth mason jar I'm currently using to make sole in. I was expecting 1 to 2" rocks per the product description. Looks like I'll need a bigger jar!

Shipped as expected for Prime, great communications and pleased with the product. This salt was purchase to make "sole" and the chunks were just the right size to fit into the water bottle. There weren't any small broken pieces or salt dust in the bottom of the bad. This leads me to believe that the bag was hand filled rather than a machine filling the bag. Thumbs up for that!

I use these to make sole water to supplement sodium in my diet (keto diets require electrolyte supplementation) and the size of these salt rocks is great for that. Not too big for my jar (4 cups I believe?), and they're also not so small that they dissolve right away or look goofy in the jar.

This company and its products are excellent. I do suggest you read the entire description before you order though. I did not, and I got exactly what I ordered. The chunks are not gonna fit in my salt grinder, and that is on me!

I have been making sole from these Himalayan salt rocks for years. Every day, on an empty stomach, I take 1 teaspoon in a glass of water. Also, once a week, I put some sole in a small glass of water and gargle with it to help eliminate bad bacteria. Never do I have a sore throat.
