Not ALL syringes are equal, especially the economic, non-medical supply house versions! Many of the cheep, chinese syringes are junk. I bought 4 different brands off Amazon, and the other 3 were DEFINITELY sub-par, and NOT worth the savings. But this brand is different! This is the only syringe that I could find on Amazon that could stack up to the much more expensive (at least 3-4 times the price) ones that you get at hospitals, or medical supply distributors. You can see my photo, I have this version (bottom) compared to the expensive BD brand.The BD is made from a bit thicker plastic, the plunger on this brand has a tiny bit more play to it (side to side), but it doesn't affect its accuracy or it's usability at all. The thicker plastic makes the BD "feel" more substantial and potentially higher quality, but trust when I say, they're just as good!The markings are crisp, and easy to read. There is no parallax or blur, so accurate dosing will not be a problem.The luer lock fits snugly in place, positively locks onto the syringe, and doesn't leak or drip when held vertically.I tested both syringes, and they both compress the exact same amount when compressed with nothing but air inside the syringe. They both held compressed air for 5 minutes, neither one leaked.I repeated the same test with saline solution, applying 20 lbs to the plunger for 5 minutes, and again.. neither leaked.. either at the luer lock, or at the plunger seal!The thinner plastic wall of these economy syringes does allow a little compliance when I squeeze the barrel of the syringe, but it does not affect it's performance in any way, and it took a considerable amount of squeezing in order to get the plastic to flex. I don't think it would be possible to cause plastic deformation (permanent distortion) by just squeezing it in your hand.Despite what I read in another review, these syringes DO have a plunger stop to prevent the plunger from being completely withdrawn out the back of the barrel without first pulling it until it hits the stop, tilting the plunger completely to one side, then applying pressure with your thumb against the rim of the barrel to "unseat" the plunger from the barrel. You can defeat the lock while withdrawing the plunger, but it does take a bit of force, and it would be difficult to do accidentally as long as you're handling the syringe in a reasonable manner.Overall, these are a GREAT buy! Definitely worth the savings.. and I would absolutely recommend these for medical, laboratory, hobby, or craft use!

I’m so grateful the nurse suggested this over bottles and while the DR office did provide us a few to use they kept getting difficult to squeeze after washing a few times. After weeks of irritation I finally found these online and was relieved to have a large supply. The volume was also perfect as we were aiming for an ounce of milk at a time which is about syringe full.
