gift from my husband for christmas two years ago
He did it as a joke pretty much... cuz we live near the ocean and everyone near the water gets flies in the summer no matter how much you treat the yard and protect your home, its unavoidable. And i was always complaining about them when we first moved here cuz I wasn't used to it. I was convinced we had a dead animal under the house or something. We did get the flies under control for the most part with barrier sprays and stuff, but for the occasional flies that get into the house, This bug a salt is frickin awesome!! its fun for me and my 12 year old son! It actually works to kill the flies! And its SOOOOO much better then spraying nasty, stinky aerosol sprays that have harsh chemicals in them around my 2 year old son and his stuff. And god forbid you get a fly in the kitchen you can't spray when you have food out or anything. Well the Bug-a-salt shoots environmentally safe salt!! ITS brilliant! I love it!I know I sound like an ad or a someone thats promoting the product for sales or something because I'm raving like a commercial, but I swear I'm not I just love the product. It was a cute and clever idea that is also functional and safe.OH and one more thing... My husband and I even shot each other with it to see if it hurt and its gotta be impossible to get hurt by this gun, you cant even feel it, maybe if the salt got in your eye somehow is about it. So again its safe too.

more fun than a flyswatter!
I got this for the wife for Christmas and she loves it. Even though it is pretty much completely plastic, it feels well made and the action is rugged. It works and takes care of flies at range and will even splatter spiders up close. I only have one small nitpick. After you pump the gun to charge it, you have to release the safety to fire, which is fantastic. However, once you release the safety, you can not put it back on safe again. Once you release the safety you have to shoot it to make it safe again.

I LOVE THIS THING
As soon as I got this I blasted a fly all to hell. I haven't seen very many flies since. This is super fun to use and love that it uses just plain salt. No chemicals. Before this, I was using the regular wire handle fly swatter and I was getting so angry at the flies that I was bending the handles while trying to kill them. I swear they were messing with me and laughing as they zoomed away from the swatter. Now, I'm laughing in their dead faces because with this gadget I WIN! Shoo fly!!!P.S. I keep this salt gun up high and hidden away in a closet. It's not a toy and I have young children in the house. I reiterated to them that this is not a toy, but to be extra safe, I store this beyond their reach. Safety first!

Good bug gun, but pricey.
Good little salt shooter. Even up close, not always a direct kill. Slide takes an arm to pull, fine for memtougb for my wife (it's hers). Fun to use. Well built, but I feel the price is about $10 to high.

Eliminate the Annoyance of Flies
This was a birthday gift from my husband. I have had it for almost three years, and it has given us a lot of value for the price. I especially like to use it on the flies that sometimes wake me up in the morning and won’t leave me alone. Once you learn how to use the sight, it’s easy to kill flies in one shot. This product is superior than a fly swatter because of the simplicity of killing flies on all kinds of surfaces. Beware though that the salt can damage objects and create nicks or holes. Know what you’re shooting. The picture I’ve attached is of my latest kill. A small fly was resting on the edge of my kitchen sponge. Imagine the difficulty of swatting a fly in that position. Imagine the spray of water from swatting a wet sponge. Why would I even want to hit my sponge with a fly swatter? With this, I was able to destroy the fly in one shot.

It’s a little hard to cock, but I like it
The media could not be loaded. Second most useful thing I’ve ever bought on Amazon and worth every last penny! We have the most obnoxious flying bugs here in the south and let me tell you, this little contraption here does not disappoint when it comes to fatally wounding these little sons of biscuits! My only complaint is that I wish I had known about the Bug-a-salt sooner! I have a five year old who apparently thinks leaving the back door open is his job. He gets up and does it every.single.day. So what’s the result?? You got it: Flying insects in my house! Specifically, black house flies. They are nasty and relentless. They land on your food and throw up 🤮 and spread their nasty diseases. Can you imagine a fly who was just outside playing on a steaming pile of poo and then that beautiful five year old boy, whom you carried inside of you for NINE months, holding the back door open that leads directly to your spotless kitchen, and then landing on your well-placed bowl of freshly washed healthy fruit? Do you know what that fly is doing? I do. He’s putting his little poo hands all over my beautiful clean fruit and then he throws up on it. And my sweet, oblivious five year old walks by the well-place bowl of poo and puke covered fruit, takes a piece and EATS it! Not anymore! I sit in my spotless kitchen with my cocked & salt-loaded Bug-a-salt and wait and kill. And wait and kill. And wait and kill. Death to the flies!

Pretty decent solution
I like the fact that it does not require co2 cartridges to operate. 1 pump from the gun and it has the power to shoot. Many times the air blows the fly away when shootin if too far away when pulling the trigger.Sometimes it splatters the fly all over if too close when pulling the trigger.Overall pretty good.

Flys will tremble before it
We get a lot of flys & spiders and this gun has made getting rid of them fun and easy. The flys and spiders used to get away from the swatters but now they have no chance thanks to the salt spray pattern. Special bonus in that there’s no splatter. Larger spiders do take a few hits before dying. Flys go down with one shot. Make sure to shield eyes if shooting at eye level or above. I learned the hard way the salt can blow back into your eyes.
