HOW do people rate this so high?
I guess I will never understand people and their ratings. I bought these twice. They look outstanding, and were just what I wanted. I thought. (really, I DID think!) But, when it came time to use them, I seriously changed my mind. Out of the twenty I bought, I got exactly two I could use! If you never put a panel mount connector tighter than "finger-tip" tight, these are great. If, however you want use slightly more pressure, tho only what thin long nose pliers would exert, you (and me) are out of luck. I literally stripped the threads on the nuts with with 1 to 2 OUNCES of pressure. Rolled threads are crap. Especially this fine.

They work well for their intended function.
Since they use a round hole for mounting using them in my project was easy. Especially with a step drill. There didn't seem to be any degradation with running the one I tried at it's rated current for 10 minutes. And after the test the connector was still cool to the touch. While the rubber dust cap might be useful to some people I didn't use it. After initially installing the jack the rubber dust cap made the connector feel loose so I removed it.

Lsgoodcare 10Pack 5.5 x 2.1 mm 5A DC Power Jack for Solar Control Board
Purchased these 5.5 x 2.1 mm jacks to use on my low voltage solar controller board. I think these jacks are typically used in security camera systems, so my application is a little different. I’m using mine in a circuit controlled by a 12 volt timer through a SPST switch that is wired to my jack. I chose to use these jacks instead of hard wiring to my load so I had connection flexibility with different lights. Since each of my low voltage lights draw less than 7 tenths of an amp these jacks rated at 5 amps work fine. I do wish the rating were higher, say 10 amps so I could use them with an exhaust fan (mine requires 7 amps). These jacks seem to be well built and handled my soldered connections just fine. Recommend

Adding 12VDC outlets to my camper
I have several small items that run on 12VDC for my travel trailer, but no convenient way to power them. While the rig is winterized in the back yard, I'm adding these jacks in places I want to add LED lighting, Wifi routers, fans, etc. These are perfect for that use!I also bought a pack of plugs that match, and some in-line fuse holders for circuit protection. I'm mounting 2-4 of these on a hand crafted aluminum plate, soldering the connections and fuse holder and mounting them in places where the wiring is (overhead cabinet bottoms etc). Now instead of 120VAC wall warts, I just put a plug on the cord and plug in where needed, and leave the inverter off most of the time now!

Great quality and sturdy connectors.
Excellent replacement connectors or new installs. Quality is way above average. I didn't use any of the dust covers, but they are there if you really need.I used the first to replace an old legs massage/stretcher device. Had to drill a 11.5 mm larger hole, but installation couldn't have been easier.Terminals take soldering very well and the connector is really sturdy.Besides the dust cover, it comes with washer a nut (a 14mm did the trick).

So much better than the aliexpress ones I bought
These are bigger, more robust, easier to solder wires to. I am ashamed of myself for not getting these sooner. If you are looking for good 5.5 x 2.5mm DC jacks these are it. Can probably find cheaper elsewhere but it is worth mentioning that the rubber stoppers were noticeably thicker (less likely to tear) than aliexpress ones I have bought in the past!

Missing Hardware
They jacks came without nuts, so impossible to mount in my prototype. The actual jacks are just what I wanted. such a shame they are unusable.

Decent!
Using these in an outdoor setting. The nickel plating has held up over a year now with no staining, and the rubber boots keep the rain out. Not bad!
