As a preface I haven't tried other custom headstraps, but I've logged many hours with the standard cloth one and was getting headaches from it.Initial impressions are that this strap pretty amazing especially for the price, it's super comfy. Feels like my head is being encased in a pillow. The top strap is nicely padded, the back is also super padded. There's a support band towards the upper forehead which is also padded. Overall the headset feels way more secure while also being more comfortable and not squeezing my face to death like the old strap was. The tighten/release mechanism on the back of the headset is really handy.Super impressed and it seems really sturdy and well made. It's also easy to fit and the instructions are clear.

I don't normally write reviews, but in this case I feel compelled.Basically if you're reading these reviews to find out if it's worth it or not - just buy it.The difference between the supplied strap and this (on the Quest 2) is like night and day.This just comfortably hugs your head, it's like resting your head on a pillow.The weight is nicely distributed, there are enough areas to manipulate, for you to get the most comfortable fit; whilst getting the screen close to your eyes, to get the optimum picture.To fit it to your Quest, you just unclip the original from the plastic brackets (the brackets stay on the headset, the original strap attaches by a little flap of plastic, which clips to those brackets. Don't pull on the actual side brackets).Once you have your headset and the little stumpy brackets, you just slide the new headset on to them. Before i got this, i would feel very ill, and have an awful headache even after five minutes of wearing the headset, but with this i can use it for hours if i want to! It is genuinly so much more comfortable, and while it doesnt remove 100% of pressure, it definitely lessens the pressure on your face by atleast 80%. If you have the oculus a headstrap like this is absoloutely necessary for comfort and security, and compared to other ones, this one is priced very well considering the £25 i payed. Its very sturdy, and seems like it will be durable. I completely recommend buying this!

My lads say it’s so much more comfortable to wear than the original one that comes with the head setThey think it’s brilliant. I had the one without the battery pack (just so they are not playing on it for too long 🤣). But don’t hesitate, it’s defo worth the money

Takes alot of strain off face, works alot better than I thought it would, adjustment knob at back isnt the best but it still work, can't fault anything else otherwise.

This is a well made, well thought out product. The fit is perfect, putting the weight of the Quest 2 on the top of your head instead of on your cheeks. With the original strap I would get deep pressure marks on my scalp and cheeks. Pressure-burning pain on the back of my head, cheeks and scalp are gone with this product.This product also stops the headset from sliding down your face and causing focus issues.Turning the adjustment knob on the back of this is so satisfying. It makes this soft clicking sound. You're able to secure it so well to your head, you could probably do a handstand and it wouldn't fall off.The soft pillows are the only thing that come into contact with your skin, and let me tell you, it is the softest coolest material I have felt on an "on head" electronic device.So many companies are just putting out products to take advantage of this emerging market. This product isn't one of those, this is 'the' device that Meta should sell with every one of their headsets. The difference between the VR experience of what comes in the box and this product is hell and heaven.If you have the Meta head strap and you're on the fence about this product, don't be. Get it. It's worth it.
